Sunset Overdrive

I think this game looks freakin fantastic and previews were really positive ! anyone else excited for it ? will you buy it ? I think it looks awesome and it needs support from Xbox community .

Reminds me a lot of Infamous, except fun and memorable.

Still not 100% sold on this game, we'll see what happens.

It looks fun, and to be honest, it looks like a R&C (Ratchet & Clank) game with a Dead Rising world. They seem to be using Resistance art for the enemies instead of zombies. Everything about this game I've seen so far could have been a R&C sequel, from the platforming to the weapons...it's a reskinned R&C game, but now the protagonists are human, in a Zombie-type world so that's cool.

If this game gets great reviews, I'll buy it for my Xbone, but I'm going to wait first for a lot of reviews. The low scoring 62/100 metascoring Insomniac "FUSE" game taught me a lot about Insomniac post-Sony.

As with @BattleSpectre and @sukraj, I am going to wait and see. If they can nail the gameplay it will be good but parts of the gameplay reveal felt a little underwhelming (i.e. when leaving gel on the floor and jumping up to melee all the enemies around you, it did not have that impact that that looked like it would take out all the enemies even though it did).

I think for this game to work, there needs to be more diverse interesting enemy types. After awhile, it will get boring killing the same types of enemies over and over, even with all the crazy weapons. That is the wrong thing that Dead Rising.

Infamous 1 and the Ratchet & Clank franchise is the best example I can think of off the top of my head that did it right in that aspect.

Also needs a kill count meter.

The art that showcased some of the other types of enemies was shown in the gameplay trailer during the part that discussed the primary enemy of the game, the OD'd.

@behardy24: Now that I have read I see that you simply said that it needed varied enemy types not that it would probably lack them.

It looks fun as hell!! I am looking forward to seeing more of it... The box art looks awesome also. This game feels fresh, and we need something to come along and bring something new to the table other than the call of duty 657 and BF5's etc.

Really excited for it, does anyone have any idea the depth of customisation we have? Just wondering!

Bone up on Ratchet and Clank games for an idea because this game looks to be just as fun as the R&C games.

Hope not R&C got repetitive and to my understanding there was not much customisation lol.

R&C had a LOT of customization in weaponry and gadgets, that's what made it so good.

Thats good to hear, I hope they make a lot of customization for the characters too.

I cancelled my order I originally was going to order it from Amazon UK but I've decided that I'll buy the game from my local Walmart I only live 5 minutes away from it.

I guess I have no choice but to get the game, my little brother seems interested in it. So meh, it might not be my kind of game but let's see what it has to offer.

Everyone with an X1 should buy this game so more games like this can be made.

I just hope Sunset overdrive doesn't let us down it looks like a good game from what i have seen but i have a bad feeling about the game.

Don't pre-order it that's all I'm going to tell you. Just wait for the reviews first and see what they have to say about it.
