I say stop worrying about it. If you cuss then you shouldnt mind. Honestly I play rainbow ALL the time and I didnt even notice once they cussed. Maybe your just looking for it?
I think most of us use adult language in our every day life and things like that dont stand out. Its just another word. It doesnt make me cringe or go WOW LOOK AT THE BAD LANGUAGE!!!
I'm going to try to see how this is received…i hate it when they swear, b or f word
Do you think the F word is being used to much in video games? Does it
add to the appeal of the game at all for you? Does it go into the
decision process of purchasing a game?
I realize the times we are in, the F – word is going to be thrown
around. I also realize from the start what Strong Language means when
I start playing the game.(if that means the F-Word is once or a
hundred time it gets the Strong Language rating)
What I don't like is the trend that is being set. I just happen to
rent, Fear, Blitz the League and now Rainbow Six Vegas (in that
order). To me it seems like developers are going overboard. I mean
do terrorist really say the F-Word that much? (I guess in Las Vegas)
To me I think it kind of ruins the game when the swearing goes
overboard like in the games I listed. I do feel that a good game is
based off of more then just what was written for the script (like game
play) but I guess I don't like this trend. (are all rated M games
going to have the F-Word from now on?)
Take Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon Advance War fighter 2 (rated teen).
Just based off the demo of GRAW and playing half of Rainbow six. I
like GRAW a lot better (I probably plan on buying it). The game is
great with out having the F-word throw around. Is there a demand to
put the F-Word in video Games?
The point being is why go overboard when you don't need to. It
doesn't help the game in anyway that I can see? I just hope Master
Chief does follow this trend.tubaloth
You serious? In Terrorist Hunt mode the Terrorists say they f-word in about every sentance they speak.I say stop worrying about it. If you cuss then you shouldnt mind. Honestly I play rainbow ALL the time and I didnt even notice once they cussed. Maybe your just looking for it?

maybe thats why. I typically dont do T-Hunt. I'm a sharpshooter, A&D and retreival player.

I'm going to try to see how this is received…I got your back. Swearing isn't needed in games period, does nothing to enhance them. Your idea about option to turn it off is a good one. I have surround sound, but I never use it unless i'm home alone because of what might be said quite loudly while I am playing.

I love hearing "f**k" in games...especially in RS: V, it gave it a more realistic feel to the combat...you can hear the reactions of the terrorists when they get shot at or when their comrades die, and without them saying "f**k" at those moments it just wouldn't hit hard enough to hold the life-like feel the game is creates
Well, let's see. I work at a paintball field and people say **** when a paintball goes flying past their head or when they are likely going to get shot. So if they use the f word in that kind of situation I would assume they would use it more often if it was real bullets going by their head, if someone really did kill their friend, or if they were about to die and knew it.

absolutely right
[QUOTE="metallica_fan42"]Well in War games, cussing needs to be exaggerated to get the full affect. You wouldn't hear somebody getting shot at, saying gosh darn.IONzlol indeed. If someone was shot in the arm, they wouldn't be saying " oh, darnit I've been shot!"
What's the big deal with the language? Especially in games that have you killing hundreds of people, like FEAR and Rainbow Six. Its ridicolous that so many people here can complain about language while totally being ok with shooting people, I mean what would bother you more in person, some one cursing, or someone blowing someone's head off? king_bodian

I'm going to try to see how this is received…Don't play the game if it offends you that much.
