Dumbass me, I hit the "Buy It" button on my Gamefly GameQ and a page says "Thank you for your money!!!" Oops. Well, there's $32.42 gone. Anyway, is this game any good? Many of my friends are orgasmic about it, but I thought it would be kind of lame. What do you guys think about it? Good singleplayer, multiplayer, etc. etc.? I just got an Xbox 360 about 2 1/2 weeks ago, so this'll be my 2nd game I bought next to Rainbow Six: Vegas. I just wanna know if an accident is a surprisingly good accident. :)
I think Lost Planet is FANTASTIC at least the Single Player game. Great game for an "accidental" purchase - I think you'll be happy you "accidentally" bought it. ;)
worth a RENT. it was fun especially the singleplayer. online, some people say it's fun but i prefer rainbow over ANY online shooter. maybe gamefly has a return policy?

I just got my 360 a little over a week ago with a load of games, I have this game but havent played it yet..watched my cousin play it,it looks ok.But I'm a bit bias towards Capcom.I've just been playing Rainbow Six ...only played GOW like once.

Ok this guy is blind, because this game definitely does not have bad graphics. I thought the graphics in this game are one of the best on the 360 and so far its my favorite game. The online is a blast and it has a good community as well.
I thought Last Planet was great-- I bought it the first day it came out but I only finished the first level, until a few months ago that is. I beat it, and to my surprise it was pretty good. Not great like Gears of War, or a Rainbow Six but pretty damn good.

Haha, funny you guys mention that Vegas is a bit more fun than Lost Planet, now I have them BOTH :D Yeah, Gears had a cool storyline and all, but it certainly wasn't the standout title for me. I'm still holding out for (gasp) GTAIV and (oh noes) Halo 3. For the last couple of weeks, Vegas and Marble Blast Ultra were my crack and bong, but since I got Gamefly, I've tried games like Call of Duty 3 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent (branching out, ya know?). Bottom line= we are blessed that we're gonna get some badass games coming in the next few months.
Lost Planet is two thumbs down,personally rated it 3.4/10 dont get part 2 if it even comes out. Not worth it, but since I tried most of the new games on 360 not on pc its really bad, cuz the multiplayer maps etc req microsoft points which is a complete rip off. You should always like, try to like, like look at the new games through youtube or something or like try the demo and like think about it. But like you need to like, like stop pressing the wrong button.
I loved Lost Planet. The single player is great (just a little too hard on the bigger difficulty levels ... but thats perhaps just me). Its nearly too easy on easiest difficulty tho)
The multiplayer really hooked me. i Probably played LP MP about 4-5 times as much as Gears ... dont ask me why. I just loved the feel of it.
Its a good game and fun to play. So i dont see a bad purchase here.
It's a decent game but it definitely has some flaws. The story is only serviceable, the control layout is questionable, and the fact that every little thing makes you stumble (and helpless) really hurt the game for me. You could have done worse but don't think you're getting a AAA game.

I haven't played it extensively but I played my friends copy as well as the demo and liked pretty well indeed, I'll probably be buying it before too much longer. The demo's on the MP if you want to check it out ahead of time.

Ya Lost Planet was pretty good. Nice looking game and was fun to play. Controls are a little different than some other games but they're not bad. Mech fighting was lots of fun
It's the only game I regret buying for my 360. A horrible knockdown mechanic in single player, very monotonous gunfights, it just didn't feel fluid. As for the multiplayer, I really don't understand why people like it. I think a certain percentage of the population can't afford too many games so the convince themselves that whatever game they own is bettr than it may be...

Is this a joke or what that games graphics are second only to Gears of War and the single play has an old school feel to it if you get past the first 20mins then you will love it....the on-line does suck though i will give you that!

the single player was pretty fun, there were some very intense fights. i wish there were some more guns though, and the vs controls were tricky. or just kinda bad. did anybody else think the story was bad. like really bad? its one of the worst. its just written poorly, and presented poorly. i guess the premise could have been cool, but it just sucked a lot. the entire time i played it i was just thinking, "30 million dollars and they couldnt hire a decent writer?" the graphics were pretty impressive though, there were a lot of particles and the snow was really good.Â
its not a terrible game. i just wish the controls were a bit better. you get used to them, but theyre not 'natural' feeling. your hands wish they were controlling one way, while your brain and the instruction manual tell you something else.
I downloaded the multiplayer demo awhile back and I loved it great multiplayer but since i got forza and some other games you kno a demo cant compare so the whole game must be pretty good dude
Well, I believe most of your comments, everyone. There were its strengths and weaknesses (graphics +, controls -) Nonetheless, I'll be able to examine it more now that I've beaten Crackdown (they both came the same day). That game was actually not bad, but that's off-topic. Thanks, you guys! Your comments really eased the pain on my mistake, and my dad's msfortune :D
The single player is what I was more interested in. The online is cool and all, but the story is what kept me playing. If you're used to various types of gameplay, begin on hard mode; that's what I did.
Oh yeah, if you're into huge waves of enemies against you (the good kind, not the Dynasty Warriors kind) and spectacular explosion animations, along with huge levels, it's for you.
