So... are the new Halo 3 Achievements in TU2?

For a number of reasons ranging from obvious to sublime, Title Update 2 (which is the new, hip, Xbox 360-version way of saying "Auto Update" or "Patch"), introduces new Achievements to Halo 3. Last weekend at Penny-Arcade Expo we played Assembly on the TU2, which meant that folks would see and buzz about the new achievements. So unless I'm reading this wrong, that means that these new Achievements are coming out within 10 days. Is this true?

So it would appear. I know my friends and I fired it up Friday night to get through it on legendary, and it didn't download a new patch. So it must be in a few days then.legendaryryanj

True. The update brings with it new achievements.

The update comes some where between the sixteenth and twenty fifth of this month.

Of course you technicallt don't have to pay for them, but like many other games out there, a good chunk of these achievements require the DLC to unlock them.

Some of the new achievements are unlocked through doing certain things on the Legendary map pack.

Some don't, however.

Bungie hasnt shed to much light on what will change. There might be somthing big. I get the feeling there is. But don't get your hopes up.

All they've commented on is some new achievements(they havent revealed them all due to some of them revolving around things that wont make sense till the update). The ranking system will get some tweaks, some playlist will be retired while other will be added. Some maps will even under go adjustments. Versions of Snowbound and Epitaph with out some shield door are being put into matchmaking.

This largely all they've said. Theres other things yet to seen, we'll just have to wait till either the update comes or another Bungie weekly update comes for more.
