Sick of online gaming?

So I started with Halo 3 online back in 2007, then COD4 came along and blew it out of the water. I've got 32 days logged on COD4! I bought Battlefield 1943 when it came out had some fun but now I'm bored with it.

So now I am really sick of online playing. I don't think I'll get back into it until Modern Warfare 2 comes out.

I got engrossed in Mass Effect single-player and loved every minute of it (I'm on my 3rd playthrough). And I recently bought the old COD2 for $13. I'm having the time of my life playing that campaign! :)

So, anyone else currently sick of online and enjoying single player more?

Nah, not really. I try to switch but i gotta admit that i miss a good sp, not just any sp but a big one, a great rpg like mass effect2 will surely be. Halo3 never gets old for me though :)

Im kinda sick of online gaming...I'm sick of people writing off games as being bad because of a lacking or non-existant multiplayer mode, for example could you imagine how popular a game like Bioshock or Mass Effect would be if it had an online MP ? They would possibly be the best available games on the market lol.:P

I like online gaming i am just getting sick of playing madden 10 online.

It seems every game is either i get my butt kicked or they quit.

I'm overall bored of games currently besides RTS games.

I've always liked single-player better than online...I only like playing online when it's with friends.podliver

Same here, I'd take a game with a good single player campaign (Mass Effect,Fallout 3,etc.) over Halo 3 or cod4 any day.

I like to mix it up favoring single player.

I've always maintained a fairly even balance in my gaming between single and multiplayer.

Actually YES...IM very tired of online gaming. I have cancelled my GOLD LIVE after having it since it launched for the XBOX. I have been an online gamer since 1999.

Starting with the PC Unreal Tournament,QuakeIII and then up to the Medal of Honor games and some COD2. I started LIVE with Return To Castle Wolfenstien and loved it.

BUT over the years its gotten more anooying with glitches, cheaters and too many patches and updates both PC and Console...I love playing a good single player game or some good splitscreen coop or deathmatch. Its just more fun and that was what I was missing over the years.

I'm not sick of online gaming, but I am sick of Live. Which would explain why I haven't played Live in a long time.

I'm not tired of online gaming because the multiplayer modes aren't fun, I just don't like that the majority of the people you run into on xbox live are idiots. Co-op MP is a dealbreaker for me though because my wife loves gaming and I usually don't have time to play something on my own, unless it's just a great game that I MAKE time for :P

I think the main problem is developers are pretty much not allowed to make a great single player game with no multiplayer any more. If they do they get mediocre reviews which then causes the sales to crash. So what we get now is a short single player game with a tacked on, mediocre multiplayer experience that somehow managed to drain half a game's development resources. In that respect, as a single player junkie, I'm very fed up with multiplayer games.TheNerdyCritic

yes i am. specially L4D. its really hard to find a decent room with ppl who take the game seriously. its either kids yelling/singing or douchebags that shoot everybody in the back n quit.

I can't say I'm bored of online, more bored of certain games online. I played GOW2, COD5 and Halo3 online a hell of a lot, and other games but not as much. Halo 3 kept me coming back, I have NEVER got bored of that game online, friends and me have sat there and played it for hours at a time and not got bored.

Online sports gaming isn't that great but everything else is.

Any Game that i get from now on has to support online play like Halo3 ,Gears 2, Cod4 ,Killzone 2 and up coming Modern Warfare 2 ,other wise i wont pay $70 for game that doesnt have online play except for God of War 3 and Dantes Inferno those are the only 2

Just have to find the right balance i find.
