Gears is great for multiplayer. If you play online (with a gold account), or a lot of split screen co-op, then definitely get it. If you're just into single player, it's worth playing through, although you'll find that your teammate AI isn't the greatest in the world. It's short too.
As for good games coming out in the next month, I don't think there are many. Personally I'm waiting for Forza motorsport 2, but that's a may 12th (I think) release date.

How can you say that. Single Player is great and it is your responsibility to take care of your teammates. You apparently haven't beaten the game on Insane mode (Single)
no get something else theres better things on Xbox 360 than a 6 hour long game with 8 person multiplayer get Dead Rising or CoD2, best games ive played on 360

agreed. do NOT miss this game. wonderful. the presentation is nearly next to none. plz buy this game...it is wonderful (especially if you you have online).
i haven't yet played it online, but i'd say its worth it for the offline, its not a long game, you could probably beat it within a week.. but, it has so good replay value, esp if you're an achievement whore :P
Very good game.Though i have to admit that once you get all the Achivements in the game it will get boreing.But it takes a long time to get all of them so dont even worry about it.
If your not gonna play it online then no. The SP is only 5-6hrs long. MP isn't that great in my opinion but alot of ppl love it. Personally, I like COD3s MP better.
it got old real fast. if the halo thing with all the standbying and what not got to you, this game will too. host advantage, glitches, bullet lag, it's just not fun anymore.

No, it isnt. Gears of War exceeded the overrated capacity. Every bit of the game is overrated, especially online multiplayer. Only thing thats not overrated with Gears is Co-Op, twice as better as single player and better fun. Its a good game, though, I never said I didnt like it.
