so i kind of got out of gaming around the time Xbox One was released. i’m getting back in to it and decided to start with Game Pass.

i played this game Ryse and oh my god it’s awesome. great graphics, a cool story, and super fun mechanics.

how did this game never get a sequel? it’s so much fun!

It got panned by reviews that's how, I think this terrible site gave it a 4/10.

For me it was about a 7/10 (if we're scoring) I thought the campaign was good and not too long, however the real part that shined for me was the MP, I spent about 20hrs+ on it, had real fun on it.

It started out as a Kinect game so it makes you wonder how much better it could have been if it was built from ground up for xbox one.

Suffers from the same thing as Assassins creed were you'll know how to counter/dodge everything so it becomes to easy and repetitive. Thankfully the story pulls it though till the end.

I used the voice commands, they were cool until the missus didn't like me yelling.

I enjoy it, originally got it for PC when it came out on steam, then I picked up a physical copy for my Xbox one S when I bought that system.

I actually enjoy Ryse: Son of Rome on PC and to me, I love it. I like anything to do with Romans and as such, it gets an 8/10 and while not perfect, its still an enjoyable single player experience.

@i_p_daily: I was so into the SP, MP wasn't on my mind at the time. Ryse to me was an awesome game, just wish Crytek would make a sequel. What can I say, I'm a sucker for Roman Empire stuff and other historian stuff.

Ryse had really good presentation and a great narrative but gameplay was weak.

Well you can get the game real cheap these days so a short story wouldn't be wasting your money, that and its on Game Pass I think.

I didn't mind the gameplay as the game was over in 6hrs, the SP at least so the gameplay for the most part was ok.

I did feel the MP was where the game shined, it was laggy when it first came out to the point is was useless doing the MP levels with other people so I did most myself. I would beat some levels without breaking my combo, and the strategy for some of the levels really made you think, while other levels where you got shot by arrows from enemies in the background was shit.

Well you can do the MP maps by yourself and some of them were real good while others were average at best. I don't understand why people who buy games with both SP/MP and only try SP, but I also find it strange that others buy the same game and only play MP and don't touch the SP.

Its kinda a waste of money in my opinion, I get if people try it and don't like it, but to not even have a go, yeah very weird.

@i_p_daily: I gotta be honest here. I didn’t even know the game had MP or maybe I just assumed it was co-op or 1v1 duels.

Should I fire it up or is it pretty much dead? Titanfall 1 is almost as old but still has a decent community so I play that often.

Let me be clear when I say MP, its co-op on selected maps with traps and the like and you need to survive against the AI and make it to the end of each zone.

There is no 1v1 or the like on it, sorry for any confusing, I should have said it doesn't have competitive MP, and more like co-op MP, my bad.
