the reputation doesnt work at all anyway. no one can see your rep besides the stars. i see no use in the reputation system

Last time I checked I had 70% unsporting and 10% trashtalk. got the unsporting rating for Gears because I "stole" someones kill(yeah it happens). talk about crybabies:P

I dont know where I got the trashtalk thing. cant recall a moment where I insulted someone or used trashtalk so badly.

Yeah, I've got like 100% of the people who avoided me saying that I was 'unsporting' probably because I played the game the way it should be played. When someone shoots a guy until he's in last stand on COD4, and then the guy kills the guy who shot him to get him in last stand, and is then shooting at me with a deagle, I'm GOING to kill the guy before he kills me. Which results in me 'stealing' the guy's kill.Zach68486

I'm apparently avoided by 33% of people, 50% of them said I was "aggressive", 25 that I "quit early" and 25% because I am "unsporting".

First of all, I don't know how you can report someone for being 'aggressive'. What does that even entail?

Furthermore, I never even use my Mic, nor have i quit early. I've never annoyed anyone as far as I know, so if 33% of people I've played with are avoiding me.. ermm..

Conclusion: Current system makes no sense, but if they improve it and make it useful and make sense, it could be decent.

The only thing I can think of is that the percentage avoided is relative to the percentage who prefer.

IE, 100% either avoid or prefer. If 33% avoid, that means 67% prefer.

Which really puts the amount who avoid at about .5%

Does anything happen when you hit 100% avoided? Like a couple day suspension or something? I'm well on my way there thanks to Rainbow Six: Vegas. People just love to leave bad feedback on that game for no reason. I'm at 60% avoided now.

I just find it funny that some people have given me bad reps just because I do better than them in a game. I don't even bother messing with other people's rep unless it's a friend and I want to prefer him. Rep is worthless.MyndFlyte

I couldn't agree more. I've had 5 stars and lost it FIVE times within three months. The Xbox live rep system is ridiculously a piece of u know what, considering the fact that 3/4 of the people I play with prefer me, yet I still have 4 1/2 stars. If u ask me, the whole system needs to be terminated completely. I'm tired of having to constantly please people in order to have a good rep: It's stupid. That area of the gamercard should be replaced by something that's assoicated with ur gamerscore or the types of games u play, not if people like you or not. Who knows? Maybe someone from Xboxx will read this and consider it, becuase I'm clearly not the only one who's p.oed about this.

in all honesty i think reputation on XBL is just a joke...cause i know alot of people that just give bad feed back for no good reason

How do you know why people have avoided you?

now i only bother with the rep system if im going to avoid people, always for any kind of racist or religious out bursts.

42% say unsporting conduct, and 28% say i quit early, which i fair tbh, because i quit halo 3 games quite a lot.

unsporting conduct i dont understand though, i'm not unsporting in any way other than teabagging people who teabag me first... or who are annoying

I laugh at that reputation system. No one cares, no looks at it, not useful for anything. Nobody is going to leave a lobby when they see your reputation is at 100% avoided.

oh i get mad on gta race mode-not gta race but the race mode ,because people drive backwards that right there warrants me to do either the following avoid the player and if that dont work report him for cheating( driving backwards etc ) then ya i do trash talk but only when they make me mad,

by continusly doing what their not supposed to do especally in team based games i will yell at the person on my team for killing me ,

i remember one time on quantum of solace this kid shot me and i was on his team so i yelled at him like hey what are you doing then he gave me negative feedback saying trash talk-since when is yelling hey what are you doing trash tal k lol

over years i learned it is pointless. 

people abuse it anyways, just for losing. not cheating, spamming, or being bad...just angry at losing.
