Problem with the USB flap

Hello everyone. I was finished playing guitar hero ii, so I unhooked the guitar from the xbox, and now that little flap that covers the USB ports will not pop back up (it is stuck down, and you can still see the usb ports). It just really annoys me so I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to fix it.

it turns out that a little white piece connected to the spring broke off, so since it was all messed up down there, i just took the spring out. Now i'm just gonna have to keep it down all the time, i guess. Unless someone wants to sell me a white faceplate:P (i hate all those different faceplates you can put on)
