Hello there,

I've got a problem with my computer, which I cannot use no more for producing sound for my xbox 360.

I connect my xbox 360 to my monitor and PC using VGA cable. My VGA cable looks like this: http://www.winsupersite.com/images/reviews/xbox360_acc_vga.jpg

I connected the sound by pluging those red and white things into one piece ( i dont know how to call it) and pluging it into that blue hole at the back of my computer.

Everything was pretty much fine, I could play my xbox 360 using my monitor and turned on pc connected to the speakers.

However, I decided that theres something wrong with the seetings because if I wanted to hear the game sound well i had to turn my speakers into max. So I went to my sound seetings. I clicked options, then properties, then selected the "Rear Blue In". It appered in my seetings, but it was turned down to minimum. So I thought that was the problem and maxed the "Rear Blue In" in my sound seetings. Then, I connected my xbox to my monitor, turned on the xbox and there was no sound! Then I connected my PC to monitor, selected the sound seetings and turned down "Rear Blue In" as it was before. But there still was no sound on my xbox 360. From then, I turned on everything in my sound seetings:

As you can see, everything is turned on. My VGA sound thing (those red and white things connected into one piece) is connected into the blue hole at the back of my computer. I also tried to plug it into the pink hole, where the mike can be plugged. Nothing works. I completely lost sound on my XBOX 360. I tried to connect it into my TV, and the sound worked, then I tried to connect it into other computer (which i cannot use because its not mine) and the sound also worked. I checked other computer's sound seetings and there was for example "Line In" option which I simply dont have on my computer. So the problem is with my computer. I did something wrong and I dont know what. But theres simply no sound, but there was sound until I changed that "Rear Blue In" seeting. Now, when every sound seeting maximized, sound still doesnt work.

It does not help.

So I really hope somebody here will help me, because Im so confused. There's no sound using VGA cable. Hope somebody here will know where's the problem.

Looking forward for your answers,
S.

You use the VGA cable for video. Then at the same time you plug in the regular RCA audio cables. Here is a link:

Also make sure in your Xbox dashboard that you have selected stereo analog audio for the output. Not sure what the blue cable you're talking about is.

What is regular RCA audio cables?

Also, in that link, theres nothing new written. I really follow all instructions and connect the VGA cable to pc and xbox correctly.

Still, thanks for trying to help me. Hope we'll find the solution.
