Yes this game is one of the best fps shooters of its times and even in some cases these times too. I no its a nintento licienced game, but i reakon it would be amazing if it ever came to arcade.
would you want the game on arcade ?

I would prolly give it a shot. I plugged my old N64 in earlier this year and played a few of the classics on that system (i.e. goldeneye, starfox64, Mario 64, etc). I have to say that I wasn't too horrified at how these games have aged. But in the case of Goldeneye, I think it was just nostalgia.I would still download it and give it a shot though. I spent so much time playing that game as a youth that I sorta feel obligated. I mean, my own dad even got to a point where he would give my friends and I a run for our money. And if you were to see how he held the controller you would be amazed that he could even get one kill.
this would be a positive, I liked GoldenEye and so did everyone. Online multiplayer would need to be integrated hopefully up to 12 players with bots. O damn do I wish I was Oddjob running through people with the Golden gun...

online MP would be amazing!
Goldeneye was never on ps1...
but yes best fps of all time, never enjoyed any game as much as that one apart from shenmue on the dreamcast. i rmember my mates playing split screen as oddjob haha and eventually i started using the invisable cheat during the game, and was so funny at the time mowing down the enemies :) good times
Would be a huge hit, but properly never will happen :(
But isn't Rare partnered with Microsoft?? I know this was made by Rare, the same company with Banjo-Kazooie franchise. And that was revived.. So its still possible, just not likely. Bond would live again on the Arcade, not no Rogue Agent import. That killed 007 games, real bad. Im starting to crave the Dual Laser Guns with paintball mode on.... those were the days.
you are joking right?I think it was on PS1 as well, so it's up for grabs.
N64 version was the better, and the best FPS at the time.

I think microsoft wanted to, but they couldn't because both microsoft and Nintendo have some rights to the game. I believe that is also why it is not on the wii virtual console. I think I read that somewhere, but don't quote me on this, Im not 1000% sure
[QUOTE="penpusher"]its never going to happen ... sorry but it will never happenyoungmurk911
exactly
This could be one of those games that you may be better off not revisiting despite how great it was in its time. It will probably look so dated, that it will somewhat ruin, or rather skew your original perceptions of it. Kind of like when you watch an old cartoon you used to watch as a kid for the first time in years and you realize how rediculous it was.But isn't Rare partnered with Microsoft?? Yes but Rare doesn't own the Liscense for James Bond, to everyone in this thread: Goldeney 007 was scheduled to release on the Xbox Live Acrade a few years back with upgraded graphics, achievements, ect. but a fued between Rare, Microsoft, Nintendo and Activision led the game to become vaperware.
