Once in a while when I'm playing Halo 3, my 360 will make a weird noise like its scratching the disc. It does it for a few seconds like once or twice, then it stops and doesn't do it for a while. I take out the disc and there is no scratches on it at all so I don't know what it is. I just got this in exchange for my old 360. It was manufactured 8/15.
I didn't put this is in the broken 360 thread because its not broken. I was just wanted to know if this happens to anyone else and if I should be worried or anything.
so is your 360 new. i have the samething happen to me..i called xbox about it they told me its not the DVD drive. it has something to do with the harddrive..They told me to clear the system memorie. you have to go to your harddrive press y, then press x,x,LB,RB x,x,. a message will pop up asking you to do a system process. select yes. after i did this i have not heard that sound.
i know that sound is annoying. i thought it was scratching my disks. after awhile that noise started happening when i was play the orange box.. Clear your mem. that should fix it.
its normal? wow i am getting a 360 in a couple of days and already hearing bad things about it...i mean come on people what is better when it comes to not breaking...... the ps3 or the 360? forget it that just brings us to the ps3 vs the 360 so just make up your mind people lol
