I installed a fan to my 360 a year ago. So now when i on my 360 console, it would make a grumbling sound. When i turned off the fan in my 360, it stopped. When i turned it on back again, it started. This would go on for 5 minutes until the sound stopped. Do you think there is anything wrong for the 360 or the fan's fault. Is that a warning for a RROD?

Not sure. Only time will tell.

If it makes you feel any better, my xbox makes an odd sound everytime i turn it on, and it's been doing that for a year and it's still running perfectly.

I had a fan on my 360 as well that made a grumbling noise when it turned on. I can't say it contributed to my first 360's RROD since I had the fan on my 360 for a year and a half...
