Yes you can go back to do your remaining sidequest.

I'mglad this time around you can continue after finishing the game. I thought it was a pain to start over in ME to play the 2 dlcs.

Last night i was playing as a Infiltrator and i picked geth shields boost as my additional skill to play.

When i played with it i got a green aura on my armor also i saw a green bar stacked on top of my shield bar which I never saw before.

I tested it and every time i got damaged the green bar goes first then my sheilds then my health IT WAS STACKING!!!

Problem is when i tried to play next day all it did was regenerate my shields and show the aura on my armor.

Has anyone encountered something like this in their play through even with the other protection skills frotification or barrier?

Did you check under "New Game"? There should be the option to import your ME2 character, but it won't actually say New Game + on the screen.

Just started playing Mass Effect 1 and I'm already loving it. Question though...how do you cycle through available targets? I didn't see the control option in the back of the manual so I'm guessing it's nonexistent. Am I right?

Is there a button to cycle through targets in ME2?

I haven't finished it yet, but people who have completed it says if gives you the option to go back to the menu, or continue exploring. :D

So are you guys saying that you can't do like the first? By that I mean keep building on the level from a character from a previous playthrough and continue with the second.

Once you completed ME1, that was it, you couldn't explore you could just load an old save. On ME2 you can continue exploring after you've completed the main story (well that's what I've read).

I think I'm in love with the new Sniper.
It feels SO much better than the last game. In ME1, sniping was so incredibly awkward and.. argh.
But it feels right now. (: Like it should be.
I was jaw dropped. I love pulling out my sniper and picking off the little enemies no problem, save my AR and whatnot for the medium-big enemies. Then pull out a heavy weapon for big-huge. :P

Haven't uploaded the save where I did PS and BDS.

Awhile back someone posted about how if you do PS they mention whatever choices you made for it. Not sure if it is by e-mail or if you get to see one of the people from PS.

ME2 ending..
So I just beat ME2 today but, 2 of my characters died. The first person that died was Tali and she was the specialist I believe who had to open up the gate. The second person that died was Grunt who was with me when SAMARA had the biotic barrier up. Do people that I choose for these roles automatically die? or is there a way for me to save them?
ME2 ending..

DeadApeBladder

Did you do Tali's loyalty quest, I sent her into the vents and she survived. As for Grunt, I told him to take the survivors back to the shuttle. I had jack make the barrier, and Miranda/Garrus for the squad leaders. Everyone from my crew survived that way.

This is a reasonably confusing/tricky character import question, ill try to word it as concisely as possible;

Now, to import a character into ME2 from ME1, it required a special 'End Game Save File' that cant be seen on your hard drive and is only created if you complete ME1 on that specifc hard drive. So i will assume mass effect 3 will use the same save in its character import, but if it does will it take events/missions/levels you have done after the end game (ie when it asks you whether you would like to start a new game or continue with the current one) into account when importing the save? or is there a way to update that end game save?

obviously there is no official news on it, but i was wondering whether anyone had an idea how it would work.
to make sure all the characters survive you must ask them EACH for recommended normandy upgrades (can be accessed through the investigate dialogue channel) If you make all the necessary upgrades (tali upgrades the ships shields i think, and Grunt gets a new shotgun) they should all survive, least they did on my playthroug
sorry i couldnt quote you, but for some reason gamespot has trouble with quoting and putting spoiler tags in the same message

Making a sticky thread like this basically means "we're tired of people making their own threads about this game so we're going to force everyone to use one single thread", and what always happens is people pretty much just stop talking about the game because the topics get too jumbled and fractured. It's a really stupid way to handle a forum, and it's pretty much sent people to other sites instead of this one to discuss ME2.

I agree. ME2 is such a epic great game but the way I guess GS thinks is lets make them not talk about it to much. If it was 3 months after release ok I could see but a week??? My gosh people are excited about a new release so let em talk. Also not just some new release but according to Gamerankings 5th best reviewed game ever. So they should not force a sticky so soon.

We have nothing else to talk about, I agree a sticky is not needed but maybe an information thread? Many redundant threads were showing up. Also, MW2 was much worse at the time.

So of those of you who have finished ME2 (myself included) what did you think of the ending? i thought it was absolutely awful, no closure whatsoever.. I was at least expecting to go to the council and explain the situation or something... Also none of the characters had any new dialog options at all, i had finished every side mission before i took on the suicide mission so is there anything left to do other than start a new game?

I have to say it does seem weird for this sticky. The PS3 has plenty of threads about MAG and WKC or even UC2 but no sticky. A great 360/PC game but can only talk about it in one thread.

a couple days ago though it was pretty much 1 in 3 threads were aboot ME2, personally i like having the sticky because your more likely to get your questions answered unlike when you make a new thread and it just gets bumped to 2nd page right away because of all the other new threads...

The same thing happened to me and to my knowledge I asked everyone for their upgrades. I know I upgraded the shields but I never upgraded Grunt's shotgun. I also completed all of the loyalty quests except for Samara's.

I am going to do it this time around and yes it was rather funny. I actually failed it because I didn't want to start all of those fights but I think that was suppose to be the point.

Edit: I'm rather curious if I import my Mass Effect 2 character will I be able to change what happened in the end and import that character to Mass Effect 3? Otherwise I'm doing this for nothing and I should stop before I get too far. I doubt anyone knows yet but it's worth a shot.

Actually i would like to know that as well.. I'm aboot to start my second playthrough with my same character (imported form ME1, and then imported from ME2) and in my first playthrough some chars died that I would have liked to keep and i prefer to have them in ME3...
