is the gears 2 community active ?

i am thinking of buying gears 2 before gears 3 but i want it solely for online multiplayer .so my question is is the gears 2 community active??

and i once heard that people have moved on to the dlc that offers unranked player matches is it true? i m dont want to buy dlc!!

it is still in the top 10 most played xbox live games, so yes. just played some horde mode and a few matches of wingman yesterday, no problem finding a game.

i dont want horde mode i want to play some tdm and king of the hill.if anyone can confirm that its easy to find games i am gonna get it tomorrow

I play it everyday, theres still plenty of people playing it :) but like someone else has said TDM isnt in GOW2

It is still active, very much so in fact. I play Horde matches every now and then and I never have a problem finding a match.

Definitely still active but in my experience not at all n00b friendly. I got a new account and had to start out at level 1 again and got kicked from every game before it even began. Never playing that game online again due to poor experiences like that.
