So a year later, I am wondering if this game is worth 30 bucks? I would really only play the online of it, but with two new Halo games already anounced, just wondering if it's worth the investment

You know what. Being a Halo fan as a child and experiencing it for almost 10 years. I got emotional at the end of Reach and Bungie's farewell.
I've never played a Halo game, but I played the zombie online mode at a friend's house, and it was freaking amazingYou know what. Being a Halo fan as a child and experiencing it for almost 10 years. I got emotional at the end of Reach and Bungie's farewell.

The Halo remake coming out next month is using Reach's multiplayer and has new (classic) maps, so the online community is still strong. You can buy those maps as DLC soon after Halo remake is released so you don't have to buy it just for 6 maps. Halo 4 is still atleast a year away, so I'd say $30 is worth it.
I've put many hours into Reach and have enjoyed the game. However, the community is pretty dumb sometimes, especially when it comes to Objective modes. Then again, which Xbox game doesn't have a bunch of numbnuts running around?
Also, 343 Studios took over for Bungie and are now in control of the game. Apparently, they are going to implement some things that will change the game (like no bloom), but to what extent I'm not sure. As of now they are testing these changes in a Beta playlist, so I don't know if they will be gamewide changes or just in a certain playlist.
Pick up Halo:Reach,it's still one of my fav games of all time, and I have been playing games since 1979.Best Halo, behind Halo:CE.In my opinion of cource.
Im a 360 gamer primarily, but not a big Halo fan. Saying that, Reach was a great game I enjoyed it thoroughly. I would say yes, pick it up.

This. There are some people who are just about stats, like in any FPS, and ignore the objectives. Yesterday I was playing king of the hill, and the other team made little to no attempt to even capture the hill. Instead they stoof on high ground and sniped the whole time and/or spammed grenades. It wasn't that big a deal, but its annoying when your own team is doing it.
EDIT: That said, overall Reach is an amazing game and is still worth $60 IMO. Getting it for $30 is a deal.
