Dragon Age is really good. If you enjoyed Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic you will absolutely enjoy the game, but don't exact Mass Effect level graphics. The game is no technical marvel in terms of eye candy, but the gameplay, the story and background are all there.
Dragon Ages: Origins is really awesome. The interface and the skills are nice. It's quite challenging. It might be troubling for newbie PC gamers however. I really recommend it, but if you aren't much of a gamer, it may be hard to control and get used to.

They're not bad, some textures and stuff look funky at times. Overall they're on the upper end of average. Nope, You don't need the expansion to fully enjoy the game.
I bought it recently. It's really fun. Not quite as fun as I thought it would be, but still really fun. I was hoping for something more Open-World. But there's some nice exploration and alot of items and loot. It's like a single-player MMO.
Played through it 2 and a half times. I couldn't suck it up to finish the 3rd.. but it's an amazing game. Just be prepared to sit on your arse for long hours. This game will suck you in.
You'll enjoy the game very much so if you liked ME and KOTOR. Like mentioned, graphics really are not on par with most games, but really don't distract that much from the fantastic story.
I may be the odd one out, but I think ME 1+2 are the best games I've played on the 360 - but DA:O was fairly average and in parts even a bit dull. Meh.
