I think it is a thing of the past now. No one seems to care about it, it's off the top 10 360 games, it drops in price finnaly and it drops a rank for the 3rd time on majornelson.com... What are your thoughts?
It's definitely not a thing of the past. People just get hyped about new and upcoming games, but I bet they still play Cod4. I've been playing it a lot lately, and have been trying to get a bunch of the harder achievements.
COD4 is still the #2 game played on live right now. Most people, myself included, just got burned out on it. I've moved onto other games to keep my instrest.
I don't think it's a thing of the past at all. Granted, I might not play it like I used to, but I imagine it's still a VERY popular game online. And in my personal opinion, still the best game to play online.

It's been a thing of the past for me for about 6 months now. Unfortunetly, my older brother still loves it and plays it often. Once, he even turned off a game I was away from for 5 minutes which was before I had the chance to save.
Its not on top 10s because no new info is coming out about it. Its dropping ranks because people are playing other games now to but that doesnt mean they dont still play it. as a matter of fact i hadnt played for a while and just started playing again a couple days ago. It will be at least a year and it could be up to 2 before that game starts dying. Almost everyone on my friends list still plays only COD4.

wow are u a comedian or something cuz that was a good joke...ur crazy if u think COD4 is a thing of the past...I still play it constantly to better my k/d ratio (1.44 but only bcuz when i 1st got the game i ran around like a madman...now i play alot smarter lol) and accuracy (22.78 %)...i've also been working on completing all of the challenges as well in the prestige im in (staying in 9th bcuz i dont like the 10th symbol), im about 98% done with those btw :D...but yea personally, im still gonna b playin COD4 online even when COD W@W comes out (dont get me wrong i'll def b spending more time with W@W online) mainly bcuz COD4 takes place in modern time (which i prefer over the WWII era).
COD4 is still very playable cos I've got newer games like Soul Calibur 4 and DBZ burstlimit to break the stale factor and stop me from getting bored of it.
COD5 will be immense though...just hope the let you select a level to play in live multiplayer,

i was a lv. 55 non prestige for a while with most challenges and all AS completed almost all SMGs completed i recently prestige because it thought it would make the game funner. it did for a few hrs. but no im like wtf for? lol just need it to hold me over till gears2 comes out.
