From all of the reviews by gamers this is one awesome game. When gamers write that it is better than Halo 3 this game has to be something else. Then are no reviews below 9.5. This game is definitely running for game of the year.

i played the mutiplayer beta and was impressed NOW playing singleplayer campaign WOW!!!!! graphics are top notch and game play is intense the fire fights leave your palms sweaty and your heart thumping. just wanted to add my two cents (while i was taking a break from the game ) well back to it . maybe i'll see yall on-line in COD4 ,later
this, Mass Effect and Rock Band are gonna be the top three games for the GOTY. (closely followed by Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3, and Assasin's Creed.)iloverikku11

I'm a bit dissappointed in how short it is. Seems like less than 10 hours has just become the accepted norm for shooters. But after playing the Beta there was no doubt this game was going to own.

Honestly, I would never give up Halo 3. But I must say, the first level of this game was quite intense. In fact, it gave me the feeling that the end of Halo 3 did. I havent played the multiplayer yet, but I havent heard one person say anything bad about it yet, and that includes the beta. I havent put that much time into the game yet, but this game has the potential to be better than Halo 3. In fact, from what Ive seen, it has a chance to be GOTY. But to say the least, Im pleasantly surprised by what Ive played in CoD4.
Yeah COD4 is awesome. I traded Halo3 in today at GameStop with like one other game and reseved to pick it up tommorow. I was told that trade in sucked but i got like 45 for Halo 3 alone. Put myself down for Mass Effect too. Why did dome stores get it today and not others?
i can honestly say that ill probably never trade in halo 3. i love all the aspects about the game. hopefully cod4 will be the same. disappointed about only 5hours of campaign though. infinity could have done better....and on ign. i really dont care what they said. they are like gamespot's fat and not-hot stepcousin that you caught yourself looking at when you had way too many at your girlfriend's family reunion.

Call of Duty doesn't shine with single player (although, it's not it's weak spot if y'know what I mean). It's always been about the multiplayer with the CoD series.
Games is general are going under 10 hours which is good. unless your in high school or just totally lazy and unemployed more than that is just too much if you have a life or a job. I really want to get oblivion but I know just from playing my friends i'll never beat it. I think Mass Effect will even takeme forever and reviews so far have said its really short for an RPG.

But is it really that desirable to beat a game? I get depressed every time a game is over.
Yeah I hate starting things and not finishing them unless they really suck. I need closure and a sense of accomplishment. One of the many reasons I hate MMOs.

I disagree. I think Mass effect has a better chance of getting near a 10. I love call of duty and COD4 looks like its going to be the best yet, but imo it will most likely get a 8.5 or a 9.0.
