How many of you here are NOT buying Fable 2?

Yes, I know this is everyone's reaction right now, but I'm not really planning on buying Fable 2.

Even though this isn't 100% official as of right now, I won't be buying Fable 2 because I'm extremely low on money and there's 2 other games which I'm looking forward to more, which is Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3. And the big problem is, I only have $30 right now and I simply can't afford enough to buy Fable 2 along with everything else.

I went broke after I pre-ordered Gears 2 a few weeks ago, so that's when this whole problem started. I plan on trading in my PSP and one of my 360 games to get Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3, but if I'm lucky, I might be able to sell my DS on ebay and luckily, I might end up with enough money to get Fable 2 at the end. But this seems unlikely right now, unfortunately.

Fallout 3 I've been looking forward to for a couple of years now, and Far Cry 2's map editor, along with single-player of 40-80 hours in length, and nice multiplayer is irresistable in my own eyes.

Call my decision flawed if you like, but I most likely won't get Fable 2...at launch at least.

But is there anyone here who also isn't getting Fable 2? Vote in the poll and post your response in your reply.

I hope in the future you're able to afford the games you want and I also hope the ones you choose are worth the money you spend.

Yuck@FarCry2 and Fallout3

Fable 2 am awesome

Why would you not get Fable 2? I'm look at what some magazines have to say first, but there is a 90% chance I'm getting it.

I'm not getting it because Fallout 3 is coming out around the same time and will be a much better game

Fable is a weak rpg.Basically something bad happens to you as a kid.So you go into an accademy or something simular to where you grow up and have tasks.For each task you can either come out good or bad.Based on which you choose you get good and evil points.The more good(light) you are you start to glow and get a halo, the more evil, you have flies swarm you, and you grow horns.

There is virutally no AI.Basically in any battle weather you face 1 or 100 opponents at a time, they will just stand and circle you, and every 20 min or so they might throw in a single hit.It's a very linear game.As for the world/moving it isnt wide and open like Marrowind (which is boring game to me. but has open world) or world of warcraft.It's closed for exmaple, you have this small section of the game where you enter, and you have environment like a wall around you almost, so it feels like you are going through a hall way, and at the end, you move through the little point and it loads up another section piece of area that looks completely different from the one previous.

You're fighting is pretty weak.Say you have a down and side slash as your attack then you have a hanfull of abilities for the game at your disposal.

This game has some side stuff you can do, but none of it very fun or eventful.So basically this game has a weak story, dorky world, horrible AI.So if you are debating to get this game I would suggest this to you if you enjoy just walking around a narrow world, killing things with easeand basically just doing nothing.The quests/items/weapons/fighting/spells all uneventful.It really feels like a game made for little kids, anyone older it just feels like a waste of time.

Can someone please explain to me what type of rpg fable is? I have no idead what the game is about or who you play as. So unless someone convinces me, im not buying itJustinge3

try renting the first one. it will be kinda like that.

and BTW, if you dont have the $$$ then yeah of course you wont buy it. You can always RENT it. Thats what i'll probably do. If its good, then I'll wait and buy it later for a decent price. BRAND NEW 360 games are a bit expensive if u ask me.

Its not worth it to trade your ds for fable 2. If thats the only way I can get fable 2, I wont purchase it either.

Fable 2 looks interesting, but I'll need to read some good reviews b4 purchasing that game. Fable 1 was too short, and if Fable 2 follow in those footsteps, its not worth 60. I'd rather get it when its 30.

With Fallout 3 on the horizon, I doubt very much I could be bothered with this- I wasn't a massive fan of the extremely linear first game (RPGS should have a degree of freedom besides being able to decorate your house I feel.) and Fallout is going to rock my world, so I don't think so.

Besides I have to play Warhammer sometimes! :p

Im not getting it cause the first one wasnt that great, besides whay get fable 2 when u fallout 3 and gears of war 2 and far cry 2 is coming out. Those 3 games will be better then fable 2.

I was getting it until Molyneux himself said it was roughly 10 hours of gameplay.....10 hours!!!.....thats weaksauce IMO.
