How many new games do you buy each year? And if you can only pick three?

Way back when, when i had a job and life was balanced, I used to buy 1 to 2 games a month and they were brand new. Then after the first year of not being employed i started trading in games to get new ones, and till finally this whole year arrived. This year i only got two used games off of ebay. ME 1 and ME2, both of which i already had but sold. Anyway, lucky for me i have a B-day and my family INSIST on getting me stuff and luckly its around the time of games hottest releases.

Well, seeing how im not even close to getting all the games i wanted this year my goal is to get atleast 3.

They are:

1) Skyrim

2) Dark Souls

3) BF3

There are a ton of others games i would get if i could. So, im sure most of you does not have this problem. However, I'm wondering if you did, and if yo can onl only get three games in this year alone start now to 2012, whcich ones would you get?

i usually only buy 2 or 3 a year, my three for this year is

1. Batman Arkham City (single player)

2. Modern Warfare 3 (multiplayer)

3. Gears of war 3 (co-op, I'm mainly getting it for the 4 player co-op campaign and horde mode)

well i just NEVER buy games brand new OR full price. That way I can buy 1 or 2 games a month. When I didnt own a house and only paid my brother $450/month in rent, I had way more disposable income to spend on games. and besides, games nowadays seem to be deeper and I can make 1 game last longer. The trick is to rent games that you know you'll beat in a week. games that take longer and have replay value, you wait and buy them used later on. If you can be patient, you can save a LOT of money.

My big three for this year would be; Skyrim, Deus Ex and The Darkness 2.

This year is easy.

1. Battlefield 3
2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
3. .... maybe not that easy..

I use to buy a lot of games, but now i just dont need to. I have so many games from last year and early this year ( Castlevania, Vanquish, Mass Effect 2, Bulletstorm, Just Cause 2) and i have hardly played any of them. Newer games just dont interest me any more. All i need is one shooter for multiplayer, a good racing game and a couple of good single player action/adventure/RPGish type of games and i am all set. For finishing off this year; Forza 4, Gears of War 3, Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 will do just fine.

About 8-10 full priced new titles (though I generally wait for a sale, they're still within the $35 -$60 range). Aside from that I buy a good amoutn of older used titles I missed out on from previous years.

without doubt i will just get all of them! .

2 new games and maybe 1 or 2 used games once they're like 20 bucks...
I alreadybought Crysis2 this year, (got rid of it) and got Mass Effect 2 for $17.
Next purchase will be Battlefield 3...

Nope, Deus Ex comes out this August and the Darkness 2 comes out at the end of the year....

I buy quite a few.. too many to be honest. my next 3 for the year will probs be. Saints Row 3 Skyrim Dark Souls Damn Ive got some spending ahead of me.. will also be getting Deus Ex and Gears 3 :(

Just bought Child Of Eden brand new this morning aswell.. Im spending far too much money lately.

On average I usually have at least 1 or 2 new games a month, but if I had to buy 3 specific games to buy it would be -

1. Mass Effect 3

2. Batman: Arkham City

3. Metal Gear HD Trilogy

On average I get one new game a month. If I could only get three for the rest of this year they would be:

• Forza 4
• NFS: The Run
• Driver San Francisco

Also pick up the odd older title now and again and then of course there is the kids gaming requirements. Currently have Gears of War 3, MW3, Battlefield 3 on pre-order for them :D They are also talking about FIFA 12.

Nope, Deus Ex comes out this August and the Darkness 2 comes out at the end of the year....

they delayed the Darkness 2 to Feb 2012, and last i heard Deus ex was delayed until at least March 2012

Those three should keep me busy for quite awhile as the time I have for gaming isn't what it used to be. The rest I'll pick up next year after the price has dropped.

Just for the 360? Easy as pie. Gears of War 3, Forza 4 and Dark Souls. Wow talk about diversity.

Well for your first question i spend between $1000-$2000 each year on games, but i rarely buy them at full price. I wait till they are $30 or less. I usually purchase from Amazon or Gamestop, but i wait for a good deal like buy 2 used get 1 free before i buy anything.

If i had to pick three im all for GOW3, BF3, and Batman AC. Most likely ill get gow and bf on release so i can play with friends, but Batman will be a $30 title for me, but its still what i want to play the most.

I usually pick up around 10 new games a year, but only 3 are brand new releases. I normally wait for games to price drop unless it is a big name, AAA release that I really want. I really saves to wait a few month after a game is released to buy it, as games usually drop to the $39.99 - $29.99.

If I could only pick 3 games to buy that are/were released this year, I would have to go with BF3, Dirt 3, and NHL 2012.

As a Sabres fan, how could you not but NHL 2012 this season??

I probably get 10-15 games a year, but less than half are day one purchases.

Battlefield 3
Gears of War 3
Skyrim

1) Skyrim

2) BF3

3) Assassins Creed Revelations

But I have gamefly so I'll can just rent the others, I'll most likely only buy numbers 1 & 2 on my list.

I usually buy about 5 or 6 games p year. My top 3 this year would be:

1 - TES V: Skyrim

2 - Gears of War 3

3 - The Witcher 2

Followed closely by Deus Ex: HR.

Only new title I've gotten of this year is Crysis 2 used for $24. I went on a pretty long hiatus of not playing xbox so I've recently bought games I've missed out on that interest me. Planning on buying Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and MGS HD Collection on release day. MW3 and Skyrim too just not on release day weeks maybe months after.

I usually pick up a couple a month I guess, on some months probably in the 5 or 6 range. Those are the months that I find amazing clearance deals at my local Target and can't help adding to my collection.

Anyway, back to the whole 3 question.

1. Batman AC

2. MW3 or BF3 (i'd wait and look at the reviews or info as the games got close to launch and then pick one)

3. Gears or War 3

I'd beg my wife to get me skyrim for my birthday, if that didn't work i'd hold out till January 1 and then pick it up. Which if i had 3 games again in 2012 two of them would have to be Skyrim and ME3...

Man this whole 3 thing would suck.

This year I have bought 3 New videogames. BulletStorm Just for the Gears of War Beta. Plus 2 other games on Sony's Current console Which are not on Xbox 360. So for Xbox 360 if I could only buy 3 New games

I generally buy games as they come out, if I want them. The ones I'm looking forward to the most for the remainder of this year are Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon.
