It's been a few years since i had my old elite, so i can't remember how hot that got in good room temp. But i felt my slim after playing reach for a few hours and im supprised how hot it was. Now the air flow is good above and to sides of it. But im curious if its supposed to get hot after playing. I mean i know its not gonna be ice cold lol.

I've had a few different models of the 360 and the Slim seems to get the warmest to the touch for whatever reason. I assume it's the way it's supposed to be, and it also means almost no fan noise, and that's okay with me.

Mine gets pretty hot sometimes. This is my guess: it's blowing out a lot of heat because of the big fan on top, so it will naturally get hot. Mine was like that at first, now it's always at a neutral temperature.

Long as the heat is escaping through the vents then it will be ok. I would be more worried if the 360 got that hot without any vents.

The slim actually has a lower TDP value than the old style, around 150W while gaming in comparison to about 180W. But then its more compact.
