Hey guys,

Just got an HMDI cable for the 360 thinking that it'd let it display in 1080p...however, I've connected it and it only goes up to 1080i (the 1080p option is in grey). Am I doing something wrong or is that as high as it goes? And sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere, I'm just about to dash out to the airport...anyway, cheers if you can help guys.

Yeah, your TV's highest output most only be 1080i......but seriously you're not really missing out on anything.

They really look identical, it's all in the mind my friend.

check your tvs specs and see what the resolution is cause it'll either be a 1080i, or a 720p that can accept a 1080i signal (like mine, all it does it downscale the image down to 720p) hdmi alone doesnt get you 1080p

OK, thanks guys...the main thing I thought was weird though was that with the component cable it would let me select 1080p, and it'd look fine except it would flicker every few seconds.

Thanks though =D
