Meh...the GTA formular has been used for so many games now it's starting to get old, and rockstar have done nearly everything with the GTA series. I just wonder what new things iwll be in GTA 4.

Choosing what kind of bad person you want to be.. Drug dealer, thief, Murderer, etc.. Then letting to level up during the course of the game.. Kinda like Oblivion..
Having the NPC's in game have their own lives and routines. If you had to assasinate a Bar owner you could follow him around and see when he goes to work, where he lives, where he stops to grab a coffee and BLAM! you take him out where and when and how YOU like. If the pedestrians acted like real people it would step the whole genre up a level.
That's what I thought Saints Row would have done, but nope. It's too bad it's all there to be made.
The one thing about Rockstar that has inspired millions of people to keep buying the GTA sequels is the ability to give you everything that the prequel had and multiply it by a factor of 100!Â
Not only does Saints Row make an obvious attempt to directly copy the GTA series, it leaves out so many things that made GTA an awesome game. For a next gen. title, I am dissapointed with what Saints Row brings to the table. Better graphics and online play should be standards for all next gen. games.Â
I expect the next GTA to make Saints Row look terrible not only in graphics, but the gameplay and features. Never underestimate Rockstar! They haven't let us down yet.

I don't know if I'm going to buy this game or not, but I do know enough about it to disagree with your statement about gameplay between the two. The aiming in SR is much easier and smoother than the clunky system in GTA, making gunfights far more enjoyable. That alone is a significant improvement on a huge flaw in GTA's gamepolay, IMO.Â

I mean really it will be the same thing except with defferent characters. I cant think of anything else they can put in GTA4 thats not in Saints Row. But it doesnt matter as long as it has Grand Theft Auto 4 on the cover everyone will like it.
Grand theft Auto 4 will be far better then saints row because it has PLANES. And they actually know what they're talking about. The voice acting in saints row is so embarresing it kills the game.
I think what you meant to say is Saints row will be better than GTA: SA. SR is great for the GTA series, now Rockstar can't get complacent. Either way, Rockstar always adds something new and innovative to their series since GTA 3 (you could buy businesses in Vice City, the gang system in SA) but SR will really make them raise the bar. In GTA 4 I'd love to see them make it more realistic (not realistic but not as wild and arcadey as it is now) and make your character like Jules in Pulp Fiction, now that would be a great game.

That's not a bad idea. maybe the use of the sneaking ability could come into use more often (maybe being a thief would make you harder to spot while sneaking). Having NPC's you could talk to get jobs and stuff would be nice. Just put a little "!" above thier heads so you know you can talk to them.Â
Oh heck no, GTA was here waaaaay before Saints Row, so of course it is going to be like Saints Row because Saints Row IS GTA these losers couldnt be original and they had to copy everything from GTA but "oh, we're different because you can customize your gangsta and we have online play so you can shoot it up with your click, and our graphics are so much better." Please, GTA eventually would have gotten there too and when this upcoming game they probably already did, I would choose GTA over SR any day.
Grand Theft Auto 4's story line will be a lot better obviously it always has been fun with their story lines. But i was talking about the graphics, the graphics i think will look as good and gameplay will feel alot more like other GTAs. I played the demo for Saints Row and i was amazed on how the graphics looked. I was afraid that GTA4 will feel the same way like it and i dont want that. I just hope the feeling is the same as the other GTAs, but im afraid that it will feel defferent because of the new physics and graphics.
