Games you tried to but couldn't get into

Well, the topic name basically says it all.

Is there any game you really tried to like but couldn't? You know, the kinda game all your friends play, gets good+ reviews and is in an overall, non-optional, critical point of view a decent game.

That happened to me a couple of times. The latest exemples would have to be Rainbow Six V2 and Left 4 Dead. I acknowledge that they are in fact good games but they simply didn't do anything for me.

GTA4.

I tried so hard to like this game.

I may try again at some point but I doubt I'll ever get into it.

GRAW,It really boring Two days in the game.

Oblivion but I will play it eventually.I got obsessed with making sure I made the right choices when creating my character.I have downloaded many mods for the PC version. Overall I have spent at least over 20 hours on it but haven't gone through one quest. I find the huge open world intimidating.freshwb

Halo, Portal, Just Cause, Max Payne 2.

Oblivion, I had no idea where to go or what to do.

Saints Row 2, bought it thinkng I would dig it as much as GTA4, I was wrong....

Someone said "Portal" , thats another game I couldn't get into

there have been a fair few over the years but coz this is a 360 post ill stick to 360 games

GTAIV - what a disappointment (personal opinion)

Devil May Cry 4 - there is nothing wrong with this game, i bought it and took it back a day later

it's strange, i had oblivion for a while and was loving it... until the day came when my xbox broke and didnt have the warranty for it. A month later, i had saved up then bought another xbox. i tried continuing on from the same save but couldnt seem to get back into it and i don't know why...

Gears of War for me, just didn't get into it, I'm sure if I played it enough I would like it.

Call of Duty 3 and Splinter Cell: Double Agent - sold them both after only playing for a couple of hours......(CoD 3 was a dissappointment after CoD 2 and SC: Double Agent seemed too last-gen and not a step forward for me....)

oh - and I'm struggling to play Battlefield Bad Company and GTA IV at the moment....

oblivion didn't know what to do really boring.

halo...i really,REALLY did try to like this one on account for all it's hype and all,but i just couldn't do it...that game is CRAP!

Street Fighter IV, not because I didn't like it or thought it was bad but because I sucked so badly at it. I couldn't play it to save my life. kfjl

gta4 i played it for a day and asked myself why people like this game so much.

Mass Effect.

People here and my friends made that game look godly. Graphics and depth are great but I didn't like the game.

Halo 3 and Both Gears of War.

They held my interest for a few weeks to a month or two, but I just kept wandering back to COD4.

Mass Effect. Not that I didn't like it because it seems to be a good game,but I died a lot early on and the game tends to set you back pretty far if you forgot to save and I just got sick of it. After I learned to save often and actually made a little progress I ended up getting stuck on a boss and haven't picked it up since.

Another one would be Oblivion,mostly the main quests. After two years and four characters I've just made it to the fourth quest in the main storyline for the first time and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with it now.

GRAW 1 and 2.

GeoW, I thought the graphics were great but I never got into the gameplay.

I also didn't like online play very much, but that's me.

Fallout 3...I know, best game ever, but I couldn't get into it.

World of Warcraft. It's ok but i'm not paying $15 a month to play.

Well I wouldn't say this game got great reviews or nothing cause it didn't. I paid full price for it and the game sucked and I still haven't finished it.The game is Wanted: weapons of fate, oh gawd what a bad game. To me it's one of those games that just really suuuucckkss, if u know what I mean.:lol:

Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolt (I like the originals though)

Oblivion (I liked Fallout 3 so I thought I'd like Oblivion)

Mass Effect (I dislike the constant frame drops and I just could not get into it)

GRAW2 (Not a big fan of tactical shooters so....)

Orange Box (Did not like any of the games there except for Portal. But I didnt even bother to finish that)

Tales of Vesperia (I like turn base a lot more. Good thing I only borrowed this)

Brothers in Arms HH (Got through two missions and got bored. Returned it along with the Orange Box to my friend)

Battlefield Bad Company (I just plain out did not like it.)

Those are just a couple off the top of my head and are for the 360. The list will go on if I go into other consoles :P

Grand Theft Auto was terrible. I can't believe I still own the game. I also could never get into Call of Duty: World At War, I'm too into Call of Duty 4, I didn't think it lived up to the name... Except for Nazi Zombies... Greatest game type ever.

I'm going to play it eventually have a few other games that will have to come first now.

But am having trouble getting into Mass Effect love the talking and adventuring and the everything else except I am totally crap at shooting. I mean really bad , So I will have to learn to shoot which may take me a while.
