Gamerpoints and XBL

I'm sure this has been asked a million times so I'm going to make it a million and one. I bought my xbox many moons ago and accumulated a nice amount of GP, but when I joined XBL a few weeks ago, I had to start a new profile and now I'm starting from scratch again. Is there anyway to swap them over? I don't have some od those games anymore and some achievements were near impossible to get, also I'm too lazy to do it all again.

Why didn't you just get the service for the username you had?

No the points are not transferable

When I signed up and they asked for my email address it automatically gave me a profile, see I created an account onxbox.com ages ago as I was having issues with something can't remember what. But no matter thanks for your help.
