I think I am in the minority here but I really think Fable 2 is amazing while Fallout 3 isn't that great. I have been playing Fable 2 for hours and hours and can't get enough. Fallout 3 after five minutes I am bored. Thoughts?
I'm with you on this one, fable II is the better game to me, overall, fallout 3 is rather bland, and very "popcorn flick syndromey". (Meaning, it was made for the critics, not for gamers, because the company knew that the average gamer will scream about something being glorious, just because it reviews well.)
Fallout3 sinceI find it funny when raiders head and limbs explode from my shotgun. I havn't played Fable2 but I plan on getting it since I liked the first one.
cuz if u played fable first, u might just be bored of rpgs, or just videogames in general. playing games for a long time can make you bored with them for a short time, but you eventuall get back into them. At least thats what happens to me.
Fallout 3 is the better game. More immense, better crafted, and though its quite different from Fable II, its features fare a lot better than Fable II's do. I really don't see why most of you feel that Fable II is better; I can imagine that you probably didn't sufficiently experience Fallout 3 before judging it as being inferior to Fable II.
I don't really compare the two: for me, the experience of one was very different from the other. Either way, I like them both. I rarely choose one game over the other, unless the differences and pluses of the game is overwhelmingly different than the others.
I never played Fable 2. But fallout 3 wasn't that great. I rented it, and just traveling around wastes wasn't that exciting. I will play Fable 2 soon and tell you what I think but hopefully its better than Fallout 3.
Fable 2 just doesn't have that much replay value. I played it once and I just can't get myself to play it again. The problem is that there's just not that much gameplay and side quests. There's nothing to keep you playing after you've completed the game. That's why I really want to play Fallout 3. There's just so much to do. Oblivion was amazing, so this one has to be somewhat as good. Right?

I think you can. People compare Gears Of War to Resistance which in my opinion Resistance is not even in the same league, its not even in the same sport.
I spent more time watching loading screens than I did playing Fable II. Fallout 3, you could walk the whole map with minimal load screens. Fable II was good, but it was so frustrating with the loading even after installing it to my harddrive.

Well you can try to compare them, but Fallout and Fable have their own style of RPGing.
Fable can barely be considered an rpg. Its more of a grand theft auto in a fantasy realm with a few rpg elements. I enjoy fable more, but Fallout 3 is the better game.
I voted Fallout 3 but I would have voted Fable 2 a few days ago so I like both about the same. The difference is that Fable 2 is shorter but a more powerful experience as long as it lasts and Fallout 3 is longer but a powerful experience with slowdowns in them. Overall I think Ill have more fun memories of Fallout 3 in a few years simply because there was more to exerience.
I got Fable II and Fallout 3 the same week, I wasso much into Fable 2 cause i played it first (since i absolutely loved Fable 1) but then i wanted to play Fallout 3, i started playing it and acant stop, its a great game.
I like Fable 2. I hate it when you have to run around for a really long time trying to figure out what to do/find something. That seems to happen a lot in Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 all the way. So much awesome, visceral content. I had it on PS3, and I'll be getting the GOTY edition when it releases. Fable 2 was great, but they could have done WAAAAAY better. It needed a muh longer, more fleshed out main story. It was like the main story took a backseat to the little diversions.
Never played Fable II, but I have seen it played and it looked pretty decent. Fallout 3 is so grossly overrated it annoys me, so my vote's going to Fable II because it looks better than the letdown Oblivion with Guns was.
I wouldnt say fable i mean it wasnt a good rpg to me it was fun but it was not a good rpg i though fallout 3 was a little better and u might think its boring cuz u dont understand it maybe
the interactions with npcs, art direction and animations of fable 2 were loads better that fallout 3. that being said though, fallout 3 had a better setting, better combat and a better world. its really 50/50 for me. :/
fable 2 is a really gud game and all...there were things that both games did that fable did better...but fallout is just on another lvl to me...the setting pulled me in soooooo much more in fallout, and the action was so much better, even if playing like a fps was a little pointless, i was just so into the world...played about 10 hrs/day for about 3 weeks till i decided to return it...and fallout 3 is the only 1 player game i can have fun with friends with...i mean bloody mess perk...virtually pointless...but it'd get my vote feature of the year (exagerating a little bit)

fallout 3 is way better. fable 2 is not even a good game, i odnt know why everyone loves it, it is litterly the easest game i played in my life and it had baearly any rping elements. the game is also very short. ALso the game was hyped to have a lot of choices and the world will develop onhow you interacted with it and i did not see any of that
It comes down to taste, Fable 2 is a far more accessable game than Fallout 3, but Fallout 3 has alot more depth to it. To put it simply Fallout 3 plays like a fairly slow paced RPG with some FPS elements, Fable 2 plays like a fast paced action adventure game with a some RPG elements.
Fable II is good but Fallout 3 is one of the greatest games of all-time. Especially with all the DLC. Also, Fable II's loadtimes are terrible and really takeaway from the experience. You spend just as much time loading as you do playing. Traveling 20 seconds to hit a 40 second loading screen make it very frustrating.
I really don't even see how Fable 2 is an RPG.. It has like 3 side quests and you just follow the glowing trail to everywhere. I'd say Fallout 3 BY FAR!!! Fallout 3 is an amazing game ftw.
Fallout 3 bored me a lot sometimes. but Fable was SSSOOOO much fun. but I sometimes I really wanna play some Fallout 3! I plan on getting GOTY version. but Fable 2 is more "fun" :D

If you did just the main story straight it's less than 8 hours, doing all sidequests (except the good/bad ones that lockout obviously) it takes about 12-14 hours give or take depending on how much time you spend doing things like jobs, gambling etc. 2. Neither really require you to know the previous games, it comes down to whether you'd prefer a fast paced fun experience that you can play casually (Fable 2), or a deeper but slower paced experience, where you can find yourself going hours just doing a sidequest (Fallout 3).

Thats not even a comparison, fallout 3. TC, if you only played fallout 3 for five minutes, i can see why you like fable 2 better. You should at least get out of the vault before you judge anything!
