I remember Bethesda saying something about starting the next game right after they're done making Fallout 3. I'm going to say that it's probably coming in 3-4 years. If I remember correctly, development on Oblivion began immediately after Morrowind's completion and it took 4 years for Oblivion to be released. i think that's how it went.

damn, so we're going to see it on the next xbox.

Yup, it sucks, however its nice that you don't have to worry about Bethesda ever rushing their games a long.Either way, I won't be getting it
Elder Scrolls IV paled in comparision to Morrowind. I'll be playing Fallout 3

Really - you preferred Morrowind to Oblivion? I don't know too many people who would have that same preference - but it's good - diverse preferences is what makes the developers continue to create new and different games.
I remember they posted something either on this site or on ign that bethesda had bought up the internet domain "elderscrollsonline" or something like that and that the next elder scrolls may be a MMORPG. Personally, I would much rather they stick to single player, but I suppose it could be interesting.
But one thing is for certain: they will definitely make a fifth.
