The graphics are great, especially when you come to certain sections of the ship that have been torn away and you can see the planet with a nice big whole in it and debris(dead bodies) floating in space with good lighting. Shooting necros that are in stasis is fun as well, seeing their slowmotion death is fun depending on what weapon you are using.
good game lousy endingtony2077ca
The major plot twists I found very obvious, but the very end leaves some things up for interpretation... and the final boss battle was EPIC
Overall I felt it had a solid ending not the best, but by no means bad.

I thought the chapter 6 boss was the best.
Im only at chapter 4, but so far the game has been incredible. I recommend a rent, however, because i know that the replay value will be next to none if you dont care about achievements. The only real reason to replay the game is for the unlocked impossible mode for achievements/fun time or trying out new weapons. But the scare factor will be gone for sure (at least for me, because i was never scared by this game in the first place, and i sure as hell know i wont be a second time through xD)
So far, its very bloody, if thats what you like. I found the graphics to be the best on the 360, IMO of course. Even though gears has amazing graphics, nothing compares to a body floating in space where the blood actually slowly drips upward with amazing realness. And the zero gravity areas are amazingly well done. Its colourless basicly, and the sound effects in this game (especially out in the space) are superlative! The immersiveness is also well done.
I can already tell something evil or a good twist will happen soon, because he keeps thinking of his girlfriend and she talks alot.
Overall, about 3 hours in the game, i can tell it will be over soon, which saddens me. The game is also reppetetive, you're constantly facing similar enemies (if not the same) over and over again, but this doesnt seem to bother me. Nor should it bother you, because each enemy fight is different, theres always a change and nothing compares to shooting of a necro's leg and watching him crawl to you, then stomping his poor head in.
My real only complaint (other than a short story) is the amount of blood. Theres not really enough, i kinda wished you could actually do actions (like god of war) when close to an enemy to finish it off, gruesomely of course.
Well, ill stop talking, but rent the game for sure, and to some, its an easy buy!

The ending shouldn't really matter since EA has already hinted at a second Dead Space already being developed. Here is the proof. http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/10/23/ea-talks-dead-space-bad-company-army-of-two-sequels/
The ending was good, its just, they tell you too much, they dont let you figure out enough for yourself.
Incredible game. You'll be screaming YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! a lot. I mean- a lot a lot.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, eventhough I should have rented it. It was about 10-11 hours in length.
rented beat it within a day
great game...EA does a great job on story telling

you need to get a life if you are playing 12-15 hours a day

i beat it in 2 and could've in one if not for school. Anyhow, its not like he does it all the time im sure, so he probably has a life. Dont think you're the right person to tell him to get a life seeing how many posts you have, just saying.
Biggest surprise this year. From beginning to end it's an absolute masterpiece, no doubt about it. Also, the ending was awesome. I won't spoil it, but it kicked butt.BioShockOwnz
Agreed. I loved the ending, very disturbing. One that you keep thinking about after you beat it.
This is nothing but a poor mans version off Doom 3, Id say it was a rip off actually..
Will trade it in for Fallout 3 next week.

couldn't disagree more, 'cept the part about wanting to grab fallout 3.
nuts to Doom 3 (flame away) original IP all the way.
they just took so many good aspects of other games and blened them brilliantly. I put in 14-15 hours, taking my time to explore. I plan to play through again.
this game definatly deserved the 9 it got on GS imo.
So far from what I have played it really really good, I am loving the aliens so far and it seems to be paced really well. anyone getting the Anime film of it next week?
