Annex. Non respawning game modes can be boring if you die early as the matches go on FOREVER when its left at 1v1

well for competitive play annex i mean at first i really like warszone and execution but annex is my main mode now because i just cant stand being dead for too long.
B) They suck too much to play against other players.

I used to be that way lol. but I'm better at the game now, so it's not so bad. in annex, I used to get like 3 kills a match and like 30 deaths lol. now I get anywhere from 10-30 :D
Horde is the best multiplayer mode available on Gears. Many a night has been wasted playing through with my mates, made ever better because we each have a different character we favor. For competitive play Annex is great, lots of fun, movement and always something to do. Multiplayer is still broken though due to the bad lag that is ever present, and grenade tagging. Sure people moan about shotguns, which could do with some reduction, but the main problem is "enemy aware" grenades. If you plant a grenade, at least make it go off to anyone that goes within proximity.

thats not a good idea why plant grenades if they are going to blow you up. I will admit grenade tagging can be cheap but ive learned to just a look out for the most part they are always in places you can see

I actually played Annex for the first time tonight, lol. I almost always play Execution and Warzone (Horde on occasion), and compared to those, Annex is just plain CHAOTIC. xD

Pfft, reduction of the shotgun?? How about add more power to the shotty so that way people can have an equal stand when face to face with host...

It's the same logic as a landmine. If I put it down, i know where it is, but if i stand on it, it's not going to say "oh i remember you, don't worry i'm friendly" it's going to explode. Planted grenades should work in the same way

Pfft, reduction of the shotgun?? How about add more power to the shotty so that way people can have an equal stand when face to face with host... I do believe that they also implement "host disadvantage" in lag terms, so your always going to be slower than the people who have joined the game. Maybe not a reduction in power, but in range, it seems to be far to effective even at a medium range after an active reload. The best thing they did was add power to the hammerburst, which is one of my favorite weapons at the moment. Power weapons can also be slightly annoying, possibly the worst offender being the boomshot.
Horde. I'll admit, I suck at competitive multiplayer. It take a whole set of skills that are quite different to that of most shooters and even the original Gears of War. In Horde I can actually get some kills with out bursting a blood vessel while also have some fun paling around with my buddies.
