Assassin's Creed, Worth a buy?

I'm thinking of getting this game today, but I'm not too sure anymore because I've been hearing it gets real old and boring quick. What do you guys think about it, Worth a buy?

BTW if not AC then I'm thinking of Skate, Orange Box, or something else (Already got ME and CoD4).

I disagree, I think this game is definitely a buy. The combat and everything is so cinematic, even though most of the stuff you do is the same stuff you've been doing, I've never felt like it was repetitive.

I'm almost looking forward to going back and playing through this game again, trying things a different way. Every assassination I've done has been an all-out brawl between me and my target/his guards. I'd like to go back and try actually assassinating someone.

Yep - this game was a def buy for me, definetly a keeper, the graphics, setting, background and the crowds in city are to good to miss. Sure it gets repetitive but i can't get enough of the fighting and climbing, u can climb anywhere and its so cool !

Horse riding to is amazing especially looking at the city at a distance, i can go on but yeh this is definetly staying in my collection.
