$500 that mean its going to be £800 even though that the $ to £ is always lower but not when it comes to thing like this lol. So no even if its £500 but if its £250 too £300 i just might have to. :D
$500 isn't that bad. The PS2 was more when it debuted... So yeah, I have no issue paying $500 for a new system. It's worth it, I've been an early adopter for every console gen, this one will be no different. I know it's possible to save some bucks and wait for an inevitable price drop. But for the tech in these units, $500 isn't that bad of a price.i_noseworthy

I set aside $540 for my next gen budget so $500 is the max that I will pay for a console. That means PS4 or Xbox. Which ever one has the better launch. I have my doubts about the Xbox's launch but I have not 100% made my decision so they still have a chance to pull me during their event on Tuesday or E3.
i learned my lesson years ago about buying consoles at launch, just been burned too many times you know? eventually they are going to come out with a slimmer model with more memory and upgrades and for cheaper, and will probably have a game bundled with it.i wasnt let down with the 360 at launch it never red ringed and i enhoyed the games but man the new xboxes are so much better and here i am stuck with this original model becuase theres no need to upgrade other than, wireless internet and appeal. i would loooove that star wars xbox though lol

I would have to be totally blown away by any console to spend $500 on it.
That kind of money will buy you a top of the line graphics card, so a console would need to offer me a lot of killer exclusives before I would even consider spending anywhere near $500 for it.
I'm far more likely to buy a console when it is $300, and will almost certainly purchase a "720" and a PS4 when they are $199.
Having said that, if the next Xbox requires a kinect to be on at all times in order to work, I will never own one. Privacy invasions are not welcomed into my house.
I haven't made a 100 percent decision on which next-gen system to get. But it looks as if the Xbox console is going to be less about gaming and more about entertainment with all the apps and stuff that's going to be with it.
For $500 I better be getting at least a game and/or second controller. Either way I'm going to wait about a year to get either the new Xbox or PS4 (will get Wii U as soon as Smash Bros. gets a release date). That way there will be more games and see if any system has RRoD type failures.
Don't buy immediately and try to get a second generation console so they've worked out any potential RRoD failures like DJSAV_101 said. In saying that, I did pay ridiculous amounts for my 360 back on launch and I too recall paying over AU$600 for my original PS1 with 1x controller and just the demo disc lol. So yeah it's nothing new to people who purchase consoles.
Shouldn't trust rumors, man. But to answer your question: ... Maybe. It depends on how well tomorrow fairs.I just heard the next xbox is going to cost $500. there will be a cheaper one but you cant get it unless you sign a contract for xbox live and pay for it .

Well the current exchange rate would put it at £330, so expect it to be at least £399 LMFAO! (but I'll buy it day 1)$500 that mean its going to be £800 even though that the $ to £ is always lower but not when it comes to thing like this lol. So no even if its £500 but if its £250 too £300 i just might have to. :D
