I got my 360 on christmas 06. I played it for 17 hours straight yesterday, no joke. I never turned it off and it didn't give me the red rings of death.I beat what i had left on veteran in call of duty 2, which is the hardest thing ever, then just played multiplayer for a long time. Has anybody played longer than that without getting the RRoD?
I've had my 360 for a year and I sometimes leave it on for days (I consider it a PC and I leave my PC on 24/7 so why not my 360). I havn't had any problems yet.

i find it weird to consider it a pc since it doesnt even have a web browser but it basicaly is one.
pulled a few all nighters here and there which probably amount to around 12 to 15 hours, it's crazy how tme goes when you get in the zone, one minute its 4 pm, the next the suns coming up.

when i first bought my 360 i played 27 hours straight, 13 of oblviion and the rest graw.i slept for a total of 14 hours the next day which messed up my whole week's sleeping schedule.
- Bioshock = WHen i first put this game in and turned up my surround sound i was just blown away.... i played the game for 7 hours straight the first day.. then 8 hours the second day and beat it.... thats the most ive played the 360 since ive had it (:
- Also put in a tonof hours already in TEAM FORTRESS 2 on the Orange Box

Let me guess; you "have a life". There is nothing wrong with taking a day off to yourself to enjoy videogames. The world is already uptight, might as well have some fun doing what you love to do.
In other words... stfu. I'm pretty sure he doesn't play his XBOX for 17 hours everyday.
I did 35 hours straight now with one game, but with a few. I think I did it with Gears of War,Oblivion, and Call of Duty 3. Those were also my achievement days and it was in the summer and I didn't have a job at the time. I've passed those hours easily when I used to play Wow 2 or so years ago. Also I didn't get the red lights. I did get the red light about 5 months later though.

Dude you need some sleeping pills or something, Looking at a screen for 35 hrs cannot be healthy for your eyes.
I have three brothers and the day Halo 3 came out the system was on for 27 1/2 hours, and I am not joking. I myself played for like 8 hours strait as my high.

Of course we all have lives, I'm not stating my life is better than anyone else's, but I just wouldn't openly admit playing a videogame for 17 hours, the same way I wouldn't admit to have gone shopping with my girlfriend for 10 hours.
There are certain things worth admitting to a logging insane hours on, a game ain't one of them.

i have never played more than 17 hours considering work, school, hanging out with friends...you know...having a social life

Oh, and ya thats pretty crazy... the most I've played straight was like 6hrs - and I think I was even sick when I did.

I did something like that once, only 10 hours. It was Saturday, i didnt wanna go out anywhere, so i ran to liquor store, got 12 pack and spent all night playing XBOX360. I dont suggest doing it often - bad for your health
22 hours of switching many games and then 2 hours of sleep then more gaming did for about 2 months and i was maninly fooling around and dont say that i have no life their is nothing wrong with playing video games all day ok
I've played for like 10 hours before and after that I could never play my 360 for that logn ever again because my parents won't let me and I don't have time for that.
17 hours?? The real question is how did you get your eyes to stop bleeding? Somebody should come up with what the proper first aid is for a person who's eyes are bleeding from too much xbox.
