you see those boxes to the left and right that have the cores and explosive arrows? use your bow, and boom, that suckers down in no time. personallly a quick trigger and response time and take it down in a minute.
when you see those missiles, just jump to the left or right to evade them. or if your really good, shoot them out of the sky.
It may sound obvious but the best advice is hit it with arrows and dodge its attacks.
The best time to attack the copter is when it flies under the bridge. You can still move Ryu when the camera moves to an angle under the bridge to show the copter. Use this to get Ryu in position close to where the copter emerges and hit it with as many arrows as you can once you get back total control.
I find it best to use the first person view to hit it with arrows. Just keep trying. You'll do it eventually.
Don't just roll away when he shots the rockets and don't just jump away. Do both.
Roll, and while rolling press jump. When you hit the ground, roll again, etc. etc.
Whenever he starts to shoot rockets again, do this from one end of the catwalk to the other one and then continue shooting your arrows at him (I don't think it matters much whether you use explosive arrows or armor piercing ones. Just shoot what you have).
