Five WWE Superstars Gone

David Hart Smith, Chris Masters, Vladimir Kozlov, and Melina were all released today.

Gail Kim has also quit the WWE.

chris masters, melina and gail kim? :( I'm sure gail will go back to TNA tho since they actually focus on women that can actually wrestle, but man I'll really miss masters and melina, and why realease them and not release sin cara after everything that happened :(

I'm not sure if TNA would actually take Gail back though. I think she'll focus on married life for awhile (She did just get married). I think TNA would be stupid not to sign Melina though. They could wonders with her, if they use her correctly. As for Masters, his second WWE run was terrible, but I remember his first run, his Heel run, with all the Masterlock challenges... That was the Masters I'll miss.

It sucks Melina left and Gail Kim. They were really unhappy though so maybe its for the best

 Melina had alot of backstage issues, and was very vocal about being unhappy from what I heard. By looking at her twitter she's taken alot of shots at the WWE. 

Gail kim had been angry with WWE all week (She eliminated herself from the Diva's battle royale this past monday out of frustration when she wasn't supposed to do that). Check her twitter she also made alot of negative comments towards management.

 Vladimir Kozlov is much better suited for the japanese promotions of wrestling. He's got more of a grappling/matbased moveset.  with his background than a WWE entertainer.  I didn't see him making any progress in his career without Santino though. Ever since he messed up his big push he was nothing but comedy

 David Hart Smith has wanted to go into MMA for a long time, so it seemed like he was unhappy as well.

Chris Masters made alot of improvements, and he's probably the one I'm most disappointed about getting released.

My guess is JTG or Curt Hawkins will probably be next

Melina: One of the TALENTED divas gone. This is disapointing.

Apparently, there's one more wrestler getting future endeavor'd, and it's seen as a "wow" release. We don't know who, tho.

Oh, by the way, I know this isn't WWE, but Amazing Red has also been future endeavor'd by TNA.dalejrgamer

Sucks to hear Melina and Chris Masters are gone. Chris Masters had a great run like five years ago, and I think he could've been major competitor or an upper midcarder today if he hasn't violated the wellness policy.

Also sucks that Gail Kim is gone, but then again, she rarely appeared. And even when she did, she would just appear for like a minute. I had no idea Gail eliminated herself in the battle royal.

According to Gail Kim, the WWE is keeping her under contract to prevent her from working elsewhere. I don't see the point of it though. It's not like she's a big name wrestler or something of that sort, and they weren't doing anything with her.DJChuy

Gail was screwed from the moment she re-signed with WWE, they were never going to push her and admit they made a mistake letting her go to TNA the first time. It's petulant and pathetic that they do that to people who can actually put on a good match.

Masters kind of disappoints me because he had a great run when he started but failed the Wellness Policy - probably because he was young and said something he shouldn't have to HHH. Then, like they did with Test, he left, took more steroids, looked huge, so they re-hired him - what kind of message does that send to the people you hire? Get off what you're taking that was the main reason we hired you, thus removing the reason we hired you, making you useless to us until we fire you, and the cycle repeats?!

DH Smith doesn't surprise me, the feud between him and Kidd didn't go over at all and without Bret Hart to put them over and keep them there, they quickly lost any momentum. Kidd is probably being kept around to keep Natalya happy.

Kozlov is the one that surprises me most. He was over with Santino and could easily have played a decent monster heel again.

I posted about Melina's backstage habits on another thread but her going could be a blessing in disguise for JoMo, not least because he won't have to spend most of his time making sure she isn't screwing some other guy on the roster...

That was the point I was making - he was hired because of his physique then told to stop doing whatever gave him it, hence he lost the main reason they hired him. The top guys like HHH, Batista, Scott Steiner, and even Benoit all got through the wellness policy no problem, either because they were big draws or because they had the right friends in the right places. Masters had neither.
