A while back gpuking started a thread claiming Killzone Shadow Fall looked better than Crysis 3, mainly based on the fact that Killzone Shadow Fall apparently has character models with more polygons than those in Crysis 3. Lots of cows agreed with him. 

It was silly to act as if poly count on characters somehow outweighed all the other graphical advantages that Crysis 3 has. But for those of you who think character models are all that matter in graphical comparisons...well, here you go:

Ryse has nearly 4x the polygons in its lead character as Killzone Shadow Fall has at the highest LOD for its character models. Ryse is the better looking game, confirmed. ;)

Then on this day, let it be written, let it be done. The weaker *cough, cough* X1 is going to be superior to the BoreStation 4 in just about every way. Polygon count aside, KZ: FrameRate Fall looks just pretty, Ryse looks amazing.

A triangle is a three-sided polygon. They are referring to the same thing. Games almost always use triangles anyway.

Star Citizen will have 100,000 polygons for the characters in the game :cool:

 

"Most current gen AAA games have around 10,000 polygons for a character and 30,000 or so for a vehicle. There actually way less detailed... And Ryse uses pre rendered scenes (confirmed by DF) because it cant even do it all in real time LOL!

Look at a wireframe image from a game (or in this case a Unigine DirectX 11 benchmark):

Polygons are irrelevent every thing is converted into triangles in the end, makes things easier.

so that 40k poly count needs to be triangulated and choped down at some point

Ryse just doesn't look like an interesting game. Looks like a game that was designed for kinect that got changed at the last minute to support a regular controller even though the gameplay was not designed for one.

never been a problem for god of war. Infact the entire game can be beaten with square square triangle on all difficulties and if you're lazy just press circle :lol:
