EDIT: Oh damnit, this is only for the Warhammer license, not 40k. Still, I can't wait to see what Creative can do. I thought Viking had promise so I'm glad to see them trying to expand.

Warhammer and Warhammer 40k are seperate properties. THQ owns the 40k lisence.

Warhammer Total War.

Now that would be insanely epic and varied.

I'm not the biggest fan of these types of games but those are two pretty big head honchos working on the one type of game together. Should be interesting.

I've played a few of the Total War games, and I just can't get into them. The most I've played is maybe around 3 hours into a campaign, but they have a very odd feel compared to other RTS games. I'm much more into the base-building style games like C&C, and Warcraft.

But I do love fantasy, and I'm a little under the idea that the TW games just require an extra level of focus and dedication which I can't provide yet with all the other games I own, so I might be interested. I'm sure by the time this new game comes out I'll have done another attempt at trying to get into a Total War game.

This is a good thing. Shame Relic didn't make more Dawn of War games. Dawn of War was awesome.Ninja-Hippo

I think it only applies to the warhammer fantasy games.. so EA pretty much lost out on the license there.. relic is keeping 40k. Funny though, I didn't know creative assembly was working on an aliens game... needs more info imo.
