Rome 2: Total War Officially Announced -- 2013 GOTY

Coming in 2013.

It is indeed, and squeezing so much history onto the PC is going to take some time. At present the release date is set for a tentative "second half of 2013". That might be toward the end of summer, or it could even be toward the end of the year. Rome 2 won't be built in a day.Eurogamer

The total war series might be the best PC series, it is genius.

One of my all time favorite series !

Here's hoping my rig can run it...
I play Shogun 2 on high so It'll probably be okay.

Great news. Love the series. I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't experienced these great games.

Rome total war was the only total war game I was truly addicted too. I couldn't get into shogun.

Can't wait.

I've spent over 500 hours on Rome and its various mods in the past 8 years.

Same here haha. Also i loved Napoleon Total War. The intro of that game gives me chills. And yeah imo Shogun sucked.

Total War is brilliant! I absolutely love history, especially when its revolved around the all time great nations like the British Empire (Empire: Total War), the French Empire (Napoleon: Total War) and the Roman Empire!
