I read they failed in their attempt to get a licence to release Stalker 2 on consoles, I'm not 100% sure on that, but we can all hope.PernicioEnigma

Yes, they did, but they're still trying.

The game was always designed as a PC exclusive and the console version is lagging behind.

You know, GSC posted job announcements and registered a Russian Stalker 2 domain three days before this whole circus began. I don't think they were expecting the reaction they got...

Don't expect more news until the third week of January, as they're running on the Julian calendar.

I actually kind of wish they were able to get it on the consoles, because that might save the studio. Consoles are considerably less to develop for, and it would be nice to see more STALKER games, and made by the original team too, not just some people working under the STALKER canon. Putting it on the 360 would really help them.theafiguy

Money is not a problem, the studio belongs to one of the richest men in Ukraine.

I would honestly pre order at full price right now if it helped them continue development. Even though I'm pretty sure the stalker series has made them a boat load of cash :lol:
