I'm Australian and you would have to be stupid to say anybody other than the USA...........it's not just the giant Navy Army and Air force. But some of the technology they have is out of this world. Predators now armed with Missiles? Hell i wouldn't be surprised if they had some sort of Navy Spaceship (Seriously) lol and also all the economic power they hold with weapons supplies and Private Millitarys. China/Russia Fighting for second placewalkingdreamYou should look into some of Russian weapons developements, the stuff they had and researched suring soviet times was almost like science fiction. They got the know how to do a lot of things, since they pioneered the whole space exploration thing.
[QUOTE="Pitbulllova"][QUOTE="ImaGayFish"]Hail Canada.Setsathe canadian armies awesome, but there are not as much soldiers as usa Pffttt, silly American, believing war can only be fought with people  You do realize how large our bear cavalry is, right?
Agreed, the bear cavalary is a force to be reckoned with
The only answer is US and I'm not being a homer here but just looking at published fact. The only nation in the world who has multi-ocean and multi-continent force projection capability is the US military. Even during the Cold War The Soviet Union at its height could only project it's force (conventional) into Western Europe and to an extent the Near East (Afghanistan).
Even though it's stretched dangerously thin at the moment the US is still able to conduct several war operations in different theaters (Iraq and Afghanistan). They're also providing heavy presence in a still contested region (Korean Peninsula) and also in several peacekeeping missions (Balkans and the Cape Horn sealanes).

True, still doesn't change the fact that Israel did defeat an enemy force which outnumbered them both in manpower and material. People tend to forget that many of the tactical commanders during the Six-Day War had fought military campaigns stretching as far back as WWII with some of them having fought against the best the Germans had thrown at them

I should have specified that they're basically glorified proxy wars.

True that it was a proxy war but no US forces were involved. The most the US got involved in directly would be in battlefield intelligence.

The us spends so much money on weapons technology compared with any other counties its stupid.

Dont forget the Gulf War
I think Iraq had like the 8th best Air Force in the world and they were blown out of the sky in a matter of days, and Iraq had like the 10th best army in the world and the US beat them so badly.
Also, I think the only losses we suffered were through friendly fire. Not sure about that one.
