I played the guitar for a while but stopped after I lost the time to play it. But overall it's still my favorite instrument followed closely by the drums.
Though I am a devoted guitar player and I love everything about the instrument, my favorite instrument has always been the sitar..it has got a beautiful sound and there is such an art to playing it..definitely one of the coolest instruments around.

I just googled it, looks interesting, wonder how it sounds though
the beatles used the sitar a lot, the songs within you without you and love you to are two good examples..but to find really talented sitar music you'd have to look into eastern music.
I never quite cut it as a drummer :P I always stuck to strings and keys (and occasionally percussion) because i didn't have to use my feet for those lol. I can only do the bare basic of drumming..but when it come sot complicated time signatures and stuff I am lost lol.

At least you can probably read time signatures and all that stuff. I don't know how to read music at all :P
I don't have any particular one, each has it's own good points, and it's not just one instrument that makes a track for me (unless of course, that track just involves the one instrument :P)
Even though I play the trumpet and the guitar, I wouldn't really say I have a favorite instrument. Every type of instrument is unique and can be used in a lot of different types of music. If I had the time and the money, I'd learn how to play almost every instrument there is.
Bass guitar is my favorite instrument in a rock band, and one of my favorite instruments overall... I also really enjoy the clarinet, though I can't play that.
