This episode will probably be about mitchell co operating with Micheal to stop the ships from getting to earth. So far this is looking better than SG1. The wraith do no trust micheal any more and now he is helping mitchell.Kurushioprobably
Well, this one was OK, but I'm not putting a whole lot of praise on it. Raise your hand if you knew Michael was going to turn sides again. Yeah, pretty much everyone thought so. Weir is now on Earth, and the problem is we have no timeline to determine when these events took place in relation to the events of SG-1! Is it before or after the Ori attack? That is an unacceptable loophole for me.Â
It wasn't necessary to destroy the Orion. Earth, whether we as fans want to admit it or not, needs ships and ours keep getting blown out of space! Even the Daedalus is out-of-commision now! While I don't necessarily believe it's permanently damaged, I'm getting a little tired of the constant beating our ships are taking with little or nothing to show for it. That's going to get as old in Atlantis as it will in SG-1.Â
Ok, I like the idea behind deploying the gas to incapacitate the Wraith. It looks like the POW camp they're going to develop for the "converted" Wraith will be an interesting subplot in it's own right. Still, they've really got to come up with some other way to hand out a beating or the whole storyline for both shows will be very predictable and boring.
I wonder if the hive ship's weapons are energy based and how good their engines and power is. Obviously it must be pretty good to be able to power really good shields around a VERY large ship as well as be able to provide life support for thousands of people which on earth ships can barely do 150 or so.KurushioDo they even have shields ???
Did anyone else think it was to easy to stop the two hive ships ??? shockwave04
Ehh..I don't know about "easy", considering we did have the Orion and her drones, albeit briefly. That and Sheppard's F-302, coupled with the intel from ol' Mikey, made it somewhat believable. I will say, however, that I think these events were rather predictable, and it does take away from my enjoyment of the episode a bit. It wasn't hard to figure out that Mikey was going to turn, and as such it made the rest of the episode pretty by-the-book.Â
NOOOOO! Stupid freaking storylines:evil:. I really liked the Orion. That sux. It looks way cooler than the Deadilus and it has awesome drones to boot.
It was a pretty good episode. Great space battles and I loved the Star Wars easter egg when he latched onto the hive ship.
