Mike Leach to Auburn?

He met with Washington to talk about the head-coaching position. This could all be to get big money from Tech, but it could happen. What do you guys think is best for Leach? Would you stay at Tech or go to Washington for big money?

EDIT : He cleared his name from the Washington list, but now he seems to be the top name for the Auburn job. Thoughts of Leach going to the SEC?

I think it's a ploy to get more money from Tech. It would be good to move to UW. If he makes a second place Pac-10 team (and win his OOC games), he'll be in a BCS bowl. It's a lot easier to do that in the Pac then the B12. But UCLA might be coming up at the same time, so the Pac might be a little different in a couple of years.

No offense, Espurs, but I would definitely like to see Leach stay at TTU.spfx30

lol I don't care about leach. Tech will never win anything with that defense. Stoops, I just hate his face personally. He chokes in big games so I would like to see him stay, but I just hate him personally so I wish he left! 

He's just trying to get a raise out of TTU. And besides, that would be the end of Auburn's great defenses.

Well if they let Leach keep Ruffin then yes the defense would be gone, but not for a few years.

And I'm gonna say no to Willie.

He went to Auburn, so I wasn't surprised when I heard that Garner was interested. He was a lot more qualified than Martinez to take over DC duties after Van Gorder left. I'm not sure if he would make a good head coach or not. It would be a blow to UGA if he left because he's easily the best of the defensive coaches. I think he's better than Nix, but he'd be more of a gamble than Gill imo.

The only position I would want Patrick Nix at is QB coach.  If he can't get a Miami offense going with atheletes like that, what would he do with the people here.

The latest rumor was Will Muschamp was to be named today, but that was also false.  Also, Gene Chizik was to interview as well.

It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened. IIRC, an 8-year-old applied for the WVU job last year after RickRod left for Michigan. Yes, I just compared you to an 8-year-old. :Psith_acolyte15

Saban shouldn't ever leave Alabama. They will win a ton of National Championships before he's done.
