Naruto Sig Tutorial (uploaded by: Colmillios)

Sasuke Sig Tutorial (uploaded by: Colmillios)

Sora Sig Part 1  (uploaded by: Colmillios)

Sora Sig Part 2 (uploaded by: Colmillios)

Itachi Sig Tutorial (uploaded by: Colmillios)

Gaara Sig Tutorial: (uploaded by: Colmillios)
I am not the best at making tutorials look nice so bare with me. :) Alright pick the size you want to use for your sig, me I do 400 X 125. Make you background black and place your render where you want it in the sig. Since the render looks the best in the middle that is where I put it. Alright the best thing to do first when picking Fractal renders is you want something solid first.**Fractal Number 1 at the bottom of this tutorial* I picked out mine and I duplicated it once so I have two. Step 1 Alright next, it needs to be a good color so that is matches the render. Step 2 To do this go to Colors > Colorize I set my settings to make it red, did the same thing to the duplicated layer as well. Alright after you have done that it is time to pick a Fractal render that will give you details. I picked mine and placed it on the right and the left side as well. ***Fractal Number 2 at the bottom*** Step 3 Now you can tell that it is the wrong color as well, I want it to be Desaturated so I go under Color > Desaturated > Lightness You should have something like this: Step 4 Ok with those two layers I set them to Hard Light. Now we are going to play around with the render a bit. Duplicate your layer two more times so you have 3 in all. Take the bottom one now go to Layers > Layer Image to Size, alright now go to Filters> Motion Blur Here is the settings I did for the left side. Step 5 Now do the same thing to the next duplicated layer but!! With the Motion Blur use the setting Length - 100 Angle - 180 Now with those two layers you are going to use Filters > Gaussian Blur > Settings either 3 or 4 it depends on you. Alright once that is done it is time to play with your Opacity, me I decided that Gradient Extract look the best, and then I set the layer down to 70% on both and this is the result: Step 6 ***Now that is what I got with that setting depending on your fractal and render something else could work better*** Now you are going to take the regular render duplicate it again, and the Gaussian Blur the render settings 3 or 4 like before, and set it the Opacity to Soft Light, and then take it down to about between 70-80%. It should look something like this: Step 7 Alright now time for C4D's take out one that looks good**C4D is at the bottom**, now if you need to change the color to match make sure you do that. Just do it the same way we did with the fractal render, here is what I did: Step 8 Ok now duplicate the C4D about 2 times for more depending on how many times you want to use it. Me I did it twice. Alright play around with it and put them in a position you thinks looks good, then set them to Screen. Erase any parts that look bad or parts that you can do without. Now I decided to duplicate each of them on each side, but the one on top I set it down to 50%. After I did that this is what I have so far: Step 9 Ok now it is time to make a light source, go to your gradient tool, and then do these settings: Step 10 Now I want the light source to be on Gaara's face so that is where I put it. Then I put the Opacity to Overlay, and I put it down 50%. This is what it should look like Step 11 Now we are going to make a new layer, then go to Edit > Copy Visible > And then paste the layer on the new layer**This step is kind of hard to explain if you need help just ask**. Now duplicate the layer once and then Gaussian Blur the layer, then take a soft brush and erase over the focal point which is the face and hands. Step 12 Now do the Copy Visible again and then duplicate the new layer two more times. Now on one layer do a gradient map of black and white, and then on the other one do a map of Orange and white. Now with the Black and White set it to Overlay at 30% and then the Orange and White to Overlay at 15% ***Now sometimes other opacity looks better, and also the Orange and White map doesn't always look good as well*** Here is the result: Step 13 And that is the end of my tutorial. :D Here are the fractals and renders I used if you guys would like to use them yourself. Fractal 1Fractal 2C4D PLEASE DO NOT RIP!!!!! Hope this helps, :) If you want to post this in another union please ask me first thanks!
Die Hard Sig Tutorial (Written by Coillimos) :
Die Hard Sig Tutorial This shows everything that I have learned from different tutorials and hopefully it will help you guys as well. And PLEASE ignore my wallpaper. This just makes it easier then cutting it all out. I will explain what is in the picture under the link. Background This is what I started out with 400 X 100 I filled the background with black and then I toke the render I was going to use and I spread it all over the sig until it was full. But you can add as many as you like. You can see my Layer and Path window off to the side and see how many I did. Flatting a Image When you are happy with what you have go where I have highlighted. This will flatten the image to one layer. Gaussian Blur Alright once you have done that we are going to Gaussian Blur the background. Settings I am going to blur my background up to 8 you can go higher or lower what ever you like. Now once you have done that we are going to Pick the background. Picking can be found here:Pick The settings I used are these:Settings You can go higher in the box where the 10 is. But that is totally up to you. Your result should look like thisResult Alright after that we need to Motion Blur it. I put my render into the sig where I liked it the best. And then I went to Motion Blur which can be found hereMotion Blur This is the settings that I am going to use Settings You can go any angle that is best and goes well with the flow of your sig and your render. But don't go to far on the length though. Here is my result of Motion Bluring the background:Result Alright now we are going to brushing. Make a New Layer, and get out any brush that looks good with your sig and you can use either black or white. Me I am going to use white and then brush I used is a Fiery Brush that can be download from DevianArt. This is what my fist layer looked like after I was done and I set the layer to overlay.1st Brushed Layer Then I made another new layer and toke out a totally different brush I used Clyrm Crystal which can also be found at DevianArt. Result Set to Overlay My last brushed layer I used another Fiery Brush. Result Now you can do more layers if you like that is totally up to you though. Now it is time to put some C4D into you sig. Now make sure you put it behind the render. 1st C4D layer And I am going to put this layer to Dodge because that looked the best. Now I am going to put in another C4D right here:2nd C4D Now you may notice it is the wrong color. No need to worry about that. We are going to change the color to black and white. Go hereDesaturate Now it should be black and white. Now if you want a different color do this step and then pick the colorize button and color the C4D the color you want it to be. Now I toke that same C4D and I duplicated 3 times so I have 4 in all. I pretty much put them all in the corners of the sig and I did rotate the C4D as well and used the sides that I wanted to use. When I was done this is what it looks likeResult I set all of those layers to Addition. Now it is time to put a C4D in front of the render to make it look like it has some depth to the sig. C4D in Front Alright I then duplicated that same layer and flipped the C4D and put it on the other side of the sig. Result I left them both on Normal but I put the opacity to 60. Alright now time to play around with the render and make it look like it flows with the sig. Now duplicate the render twice you should have three in all. Now take one of those layers of your render. Now I am going to do this step to make it so it has no stops on it. It is basically making the render the size of the sig but not changing it none. Layering Render ***The only reason you should do this if in the next step you have something that looks like a box around your render. Once you do it and see it you will know what I mean.**** Alright I am going to use the Motion Blur once again on the render. I am going to tell you want I used since I already show you how the Motion Blur works. On one of the renders I made the Motion blur do a Angle of 210 and the length 50 this was for the right side of Bruce. The for the left side I used this settings Angle 340 Length 50. And then I Gaussian Blured both of them up to 3. And then once I did that I toke my orignal render and put it on top. And then I set the layers the motion blur layers to Addition to make it look like there is light behind Bruce's head. Result Alright we are going to make a little bit more light behind Bruce's head. By making a new layer and fill it black. And then take a soft brush I am using Absolute Zero which is like a water brush. And brushed with white which should look like this Lighting Then once I did that I put it too Overlay and put the opacity to 60. Ok next step we are almost done. We are going to do a gradient map and it is really simple to do as well. Alright make a new layer and then go hereCopying Alright now go over to the Layer and Path window and paste what you copy by pressing Ctrl V. Then you should get something that looks like this Floating Layer And as you can see in the picture I have highlighted the Anchor Layer click that and all of your work should be on that new layer. Now go up to your colors and get Blue (07499a) and Orange (ff8b03). Now once you have done that all you have to do is go to Filters > Colors > Map > Gradient Map and once you click it you should get those colors all over you sig. Then all you have to do is switch it Overlay about opacity 60. Then I wanted to sharpen it up a bit so then I went to Filters > Enhance > Sharpen and I did it up to 50. Here is my result: Result Now time for a boarder here is where I go Fuzzy Border Here is my settings that I do: Settings And then here is the final result: Finished Now there could be a lot more things you can do with this sig but I couldn't think of anything. Some people might want to brush more or maybe add more C4D's. And also adding text as well. But this is what I though looked the best. I hope it helped you out and if you have question feel free to ask. Happy GIMPING!!
Here are some of my own tutorials that I have made myself:

Video Tutorials: Baisc's of GIMP made this to help out with some of the few tools and filters for new beginners of GIMP

Naruto Sig Tutorial my first video tutorial, just shows how you can use a stock to make a sig

Sasuke Sig Tutorial shows how you can make a background from scratch, and I use a render with this one.

This one you will actually get to hear me talk and explain what I am doing. Again this is starting a background from scratch and using a render. Sora Sig Part 1Sora Sig Part 2

Itachi Sig Tutorial another one to show how to work with a stock image.

My Old Tutorials that I have done which have screen shots to look at, but with Die Hard tutorial I don't have the finish sig anymore I lost it when my old hard drive gave out on me.

Gaara Sig Tutorial:
Die Hard Sig Tutorial:
Die Hard Sig Tutorial This shows everything that I have learned from different tutorials and hopefully it will help you guys as well. :) And PLEASE ignore my wallpaper. :P This just makes it easier then cutting it all out. :) We are going to do a gradient map and it is really simple to do as well. :) Alright make a new layer and then go hereCopying Alright now go over to the Layer and Path window and paste what you copy by pressing Ctrl V. Then you should get something that looks like this Floating Layer And as you can see in the picture I have highlighted the Anchor Layer click that and all of your work should be on that new layer. :D Now go up to your colors and get Blue (07499a) and Orange (ff8b03). :) I hope it helped you out and if you have question feel free to ask. :) Happy GIMPING!!
Technically yes, but a lot of tut authors specify not to re-post their tuts without perimission. If they don't then there's no problem.

It's still not permitted. They might want the tut to be in just a specific site/forum, or other reasons.

Some authors allow people to repost their tuts freely... And I don't think they'd mind if we, for example, linked to their DA gallery or something.

I don't remember which one has the C4D's used in the sigs Jason asked for, but you'll eventually find them in there, I only posted ones I downloaded myself.

Dudersaper
It's varied. But i'd say the majority of them are drawn/anime style. No real life's , But a lot of them are game characters. Like persona, street fighter, blazblue, king of fighters ,nintendo, and some other games. And as far as anime's go , FMA,soul eater, the girl who leapt through time, cowboy bebop, and durarara!! I'd highly recommend a download :P

The stocks are more or less average , real life stocks. I haven't really seen them anywhere else but their going to be harder to use then most stocks.

The stocks were meh imo, I liked one though.

The renders on the other hand have lots of great ones, still haven't seen all but I've seen +40 and there awesome.

I reccomend people getting the pack.

This is a pretty cool stock I found at DeviantArt, it was uploaded (and probably made) by "ineedfire":

Hard to say at this point. It might but then it would be hard to incoroporate the render I'm using for my current project but I'll give it a shot.

You should only use the brushes if you're going for a vector tag.

I think a gradient map tut should expand a bit more and not be so reduced to one or two gradients and should explain more. And you could've given a better example.

But it's good nonetheless
