So which system do you guys think "won" this gen?The_Last_Ride

This says nothing about sales. What won for me was the PS3. I don't have to be in the majority to say the PS3 won, it won in my opinion.

That's like saying, who won? Call of Duty or Dishonored? Now Call of Duty had more popularity, but it did not 'win'. At least, not in my opinion. Dishonored was a better, more original game and to me, that's winning.

Nintendo only wanted more money, but Microsoft and Sony stayed true to their gamers for the most part. However, PlayStation 3's exclusives takes the edge for me and outshines it's competitors, and thus is the winner and the better console.

I wanted a Wii, but when I tried it, it was way too disappointing. I do feel as if Nintendo has always appealed to the more casual group, but the Wii felt more like a gimmick, and that I highly disliked it.

It's fine if you like it, but I would rather have had something like the Gamecube or N64. They had some amazing games that I think the Wii was missing.

What Wii games did you play? Don't you tell me you only played Wii sports and then ran away crying.

There are plenty of difficult (WTF does hardcore mean anyway?) and engaging games for the system, such as Twilight Princess or Donkey Kong Contry Returns.

I played Wii Sports, but I also played Dead Space Extraction.

Also, I don't think Zelda or Donkey Kong are worth buying the system, and although I haven't played them, I couldn't really imagine them comparing to Superman 64.:P

My thoughts exactly, Nintendo feels like the only company that cares about it's fans.

They all want money, but Nintendo went full gimmick, and I lost a lot of respect for the company. They lost that old, fun Nintendo charm when they did that, one I hope they can get back.

Just to make this clear, I don't want this argument turning into a fight. I always worry about that.:P I'm just posting my honest thoughts on it. I can see why the Wii appeals to some people, but I just cannot stand motion controllers.:P

Have you even played Mario Galaxy, Skyward Sword, Smash Bros. Brawl, etc.? Nintendo is STILL pimpin' and rolling in the dough. If you have some crazy idea that they hate their customers and only cater to 4 years olds, feel free to keep deluding yourself.

You guys made it sound like Bugbag did something really horrible. :P

As for Nintendo's risky innovation over the norm style, it's bound to upset some people. While I wouldn't say they are pushing the industry backwards, I think we'll just agree to disagree. :P

I voted PC since it technically is the best... Second place would be PS3. As much as I like xbox better for certain things *cough*Halo3&Reach*cough*bettercontrollerimo*cough* I'm pretty sure PS has better technology with its Blu Ray disc reader and... what elsedo you guys have? :PKman5507

Now i love my xbox, but i have issues with how MS handles things. And they have totally neglected games for it the last 3 years

I don't like Gears, i don't like Halo either. Alan Wake isn't something i like either. Forza is the only one of the big ones i really like. What else is there for me then except for the arcade games really?

if you REALLY look at it Xbox only has 3 big games they can brag about. Halo, Forza and Gears. Each of them have had four games in the series. Where are the new ones? They have stuff like Fable and Alan Wake, but they are not as good as other games in that same genre. They have a strong backbone in games like Mark of The Ninja, Bastion, Trials, etc. But if Sony starts backing those with a much easier program than MS(It's 50 000 bucks just to be in the MS program for xbox, and it's not guaranteed you get to publish your game).

Nintendo has awesome selfmade ip's, but are lacking third party support, and this is weakining the hardcore gamers appeal for the game. And there aren't that many indie games for it either. if they can get third party games and be a more open system it would be a monster of a console. 

Sony has lots of first, second and third party developers that back them. They don't rely on few game series, but they have a lot, and all of them are great. The only problem for Sony has been the marketing and that no one knows about these games, and therefore bad sale numbers
