Well, anyhow, anybody here know exactly what the "Kirin Hoofs" from DW5:XL actually do?  It mentions something about making your horse stronger.  Wheather that means increasing your horse attack or what I'm not sure.  I'd normally research this matter myself, but I figure I'd might as well give members something to do.

They allow you to give more damage to enemies when you run into them.  And I think they also allow you to run down officers when normally you cant.

Kirin Hoofs Power-up the horses ramming ability. Oh and they strengthen pet tigers too. So if you have the Tiger Collar on your tiger will hit harder.

About maxxing out items i find it easier just to play normally and unlock them as time goes no challenge really.
I normally do a musou mode with a character then do the wu zhang plains a few times to fully train. Whilst doing the Wu ZHang Plains level i've come across seven of the ten items as lvl 20's.

It dosent matter the difficulty, just play the Nan Man level on Legend mode on any difficulty (i.e. Novice).  As soon as you start, just charge straight for Xu Huang, ignoring everything else.  Kill 'em, get the precious item message, find the box at the indicated spot, smash it open, position yourself over the object the desecrated box reveals until you pick it up, and finnaly eliminate Sima Yi.  You should get the hoofs, as well as the right to do as you please with those Nan Man savages.

I dnt usually need ne help but i have a 4th weapon question. On DW5 im having trouble getting Huang Gais 4th. Its on the yellow turban rebbellion and you have to defeat every officer on the map. Ive tryed nearly everything but one of the officers always gets killed by Liu Bei,Cao Cao or any other ally even on Chaos! I zoom around on red hare maiming everyone but im finding it maddening! Anyone have ne tips on how they did it?

Use a green scroll with a good tiger amulet.  You'll kill enemies a helluvah lot faster that way.  But you'll also die in a few hits.  Makes the game kinda realistic on chaos.

Its not a problem of killing them its just that the officers are scattered all over the map so i need some kind of routine...

I havent done it, but I would say try to go for the enemies that have allies around them first, and then move ahead of the unit that was fighting the officer you just killed.  I hate to say it but youll just have to watch the board for enemy and ally movements.  I would use Red Hare and the Speed Scroll so you have maximum speed no matter where you are.

Well, I liked it. The idea is tha every time there was a major power shift back then, there's a scenario which looks like it. Yellow Turban Rebellion, Dong Zhuo in Luo Yang, etc.
