Agreed though i do like spears and will use people like Ma Chao often.
I also like the way they mad Guan Ping... he holds that big ass thing like a ninja behind his back and swings it like one too. awesome moveset.
I'm pretty sure that it's called a Guan Dao.I love spears specially Guan Yu's ( Dragon Crescent-moon blade )

That's my favorite weapon as well, but I also like Ling Tong's nunchaku, Sun Ce's huge tonfa, and Xiahou Dun's big sword.
Personally, I don't like Cao Pi's weapon- it seems painfully ineffective to me, from the perspective of a martial arts enthusiast. Using a weapon like that would be extremely awkward and dangerous to the wielder. You're better off just using a more traditional weapon- KWAN DAO OWNAGE!
Personally, I wonder why there's no characters with staffs, butterfly swords, sais, or twin hook swords. They're all real, proven weapons that are also the 8)ness

Those weapons were used in Okenawa long after the Three Kingdoms, right?
Sais were, but all the other weapons are native, home-grown Chinese arms. I'm not sure how ould they are, but I do know that the staff is one of the preffered weapons of the Shaolin monks.Well, even though they're similar lengths, they're different types o' swords. Zhou Tai has a katana, which I consider a bastard sword because its grip is long enough for two hands but its blade is light enough for one. Huang Zhong has a large broadsword, which is one-handed. Sun Quan and Sun Jian (Cao Cao and Liu Bei as well) have one-handed swords, which I believe are Han-style swords.I like one handed swords, but that are still long enough to have reach. Like Zhou Tai's weapon, or Sun Quan's, Sun Jian's, or Huang Zhong's.
What is that category of swords called, I'm sure taisho knows, is it a bastard sword?
