In my house it's been at 4mb/s for as long as I can remember. The little upgrade is nice, however Gamespot moves just as slowly as always regardless of the upgrade.julian_jr

I'm surprised they haven't attempted to upgrade the site however. There's so many bigger websites out there which are much faster.julian_jr

Works for what I use it for. Downloads fast enough and provides a decent connection (most of the time). Not a huge fan of my internet provider though.

The DL speed being low is because my computer uses a wireless adapter to let it connect to the internet.

No idea how the UP is so good. But I enjoy that.

I use Verizon. I used to have Comcast, it honestly is not as good as people think it is. Verizon is just as good. Cloud_765

When I had wired connection my computer had close to 20 for DL. It was only 6 for UP though. Cloud_765

If you're playing an online game with low ping things run smoothly, but higher is worse as you won't be able to play it properly with lag.

Yep, it always depends on the connection though. The closer you are to a designated area the faster you can connect which causes a lower ping while further ones have higher.

You want below 100, anything after that will cause problems. I think up to 150 may be safe but isn't recommended, and over 200 is laughable.

Mine is starting to suck. Mainly for it goes down at the most random times but it always goes down around 8:30pm, and comes back up at around 9:30pm.PolskaKing
