I'm feeling quite festive this year. Perhaps it's the extreme cold in the UK. What an ideal time to have a festival denoting the depths of winter! Thanks Jesu.... No, wait; thanks earth's tilt.

Is anyone else thinking about going out and claiming a log?

I'm a Festivus kind of guy. Not celebrating actual Festivus... just being Festivus-minded in the sense of being against the commercialism and decorative elements associated with the holiday. I do enjoy the family and friend togetherness... and feel that is the most important part of the holiday.

Though, celebrating Saturnalia would be fun. A week of feasting and partying.

I'm actually a bit of a grinch in terms of being festive around christmas. I love the holiday but I never buy a tree or decorate the place with ornaments etc.
