In response to the "Zelda OoT isn't the best game" thread... and then the list he gave, what are your top 10 games of all time? If you have a series you love, and your top 10 would be multiples from that series... just put the series instead of the one game.

I've played too many games to make a top ten list (yes, too may, not too few), but...

Metroid Prime is probably the best game ever in my opinion. Everything is in place in that game, and the atmosphere when you landed on Tallon IV is amazing, probably one of the best moments in my gaming career.

Zelda games are also great (no surprise here, huh...). Yes, everyone loves them, so do I.

Illusion of Gaia on the SNES is the best RPG ever!

Some of them I could group and some I couldn't. For example, as much as a raging Zelda fan I am, I don't really care for the first two games. So I felt kind of funny putting the Zelda series as a whole on top.

It's really hard to come up with a list, plus most of my favourites have already been mentioned (Zelda, FF, RE, WOW etc.).  I couldn't let this thread go though without mentioning the Civilization series.  I can't count the number of hours i've sunk in those games.

I'll only include one game from a series, so as to not look like a complete and total sheep  :D

1. Ocarina of Time  (not just a bandwagon OoT fan, either)
2. Super Mario Bros. 3 (STILL the best platformer ever made, imo)
3. Metroid Prime (Super Metroid was dang close, but I still give it to MP)
4. SimCity 2000 (excellent sim that wasted THOUSANDS of hours of my life)
5. Goldeneye 007 (the reason I got back into games)
6. Dr. Mario (excellently balanced puzzler that I like even more than Tetris)
7. Battletoads (can you say HARD?)
8. MarioKart 64 (it made cheap tactics way harder than the newest entries)
9. Baldur's Gate (best RPG series made, imo)
